Terrace Marshall and Gio Ricci have been listed as out for Sunday while Alex Erickson is considered questionable for when the Carolina Panthers are set to take on the New York Giants. All three players are in different stages of the concussion protocol and earlier in the week Coach Rhule stated that Shi Smith would probably end up serving in the WR3 role for the Panthers this week due to these injuries. The receiving corps will continue to be led by D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson though Moore is the only member that can be played with any level of confidence in DFS at this point. The Panthers are expected to be playing with a lead against a Giants' squad that is dealing with its own slew of injuries and Chuba Hubbard could play a prominent role in the offense as the Panthers' primary running back, who is also worth considering in DFS contests.

The Panthers ancillary wideouts are banged up, and at least one is likely to miss. Marshall missed his second straight practice due to the concussion protocol; at this point in the week, it's difficult to envision him suiting up. Erickson was upgraded to an LP with a concussion of his own, so he may be okay to play if tomorrow's practice goes well. With Brandon Zylstra on the I.R. and Marshall expected to sit, there is an opportunity for Erickson or Shi Smith to play the third WR behind DJ Moore and Robby Anderson. The Panthers do have two tight ends in Tommy Tremble and Ian Thomas that could see the field, but possible that Smith or Erickson is worth a flier at minimum salary across the industry.

Terrace Marshall Jr. (concussion) and WR Alex Erickson (concussion) both logged DNPs on Wednesday ahead of their matchup with the New York Giants on Sunday. If both Marshall and Erickson were to miss Shi Smith would move into the WR3 role (as confirmed by Coach Rhule) behind D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson and could be a potential value play. This is a situation that needs to be monitored throughout the week as the concussion protocol allows no exact timeframe for a return.

Erickson was able to practice fully Friday and does not carry an injury designation into Sunday. He had been surging prior to the Bengals' bye week, bringing in 18 of 27 targets for 281 yards and 0 TDs. However, in the first game with Ryan Finley at QB, Erickson caught neither of his two targets and had 1 rush for 13 yards. The switch to Finley at QB is likely to hurt all the Bengals' WRs value the rest of the season.

Erickson was able to make a limited return to practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday. His practice status Friday will be important to monitor.

Erickson was out Wednesday with a back injury, one he apparently picked up last Sunday. His status for this upcoming week is in question.

The Bengals have waived WR Damion Willis. The role for Willis in the offense had disappeared, with him getting just 1 target over the past two weeks. Auden Tate and Alex Erickson have the WR spots locked down behind Tyler Boyd.

Erickson was able to practice fully Thursday and should be able to play as soon as he clears the concussion protocol.

Erickson suffered a concussion last game and was able to practice in a limited fashion Wednesday. He will still need to pass the concussion protocol before he can return to the field.
