Anthony Schwartz Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
CLE WR Michael Woods (illness) returned to practice Thursday.
We have not seen him doing much since he went out in the preseason, but the Browns thought enough of him to keep him through final cuts and on the active roster anyway. His role should be small at first, but it will be interesting to see how high he climbs on a thin depth chart.
Anthony Schwartz and Harrison Bryant officially active on Monday afternoon; Lawrence Cager inactive
Schwartz is active on Monday and figures to operate as the WR3 behind DPJ and Rashard Higgins, with Ja'Marcus Bradley also fighting for snaps behind him. With Bryant active, he'll help fill the void of Austin Hooper, but David Njoku still projects as a slightly better target. WR Lawrence Cager is inactive on Monday, leaving the Browns with a relatively thin WR group.
CLE WR Anthony Schwartz now listed questionable for Monday
Anthony Schwartz is now listed questionable for Monday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. If active Schwartz would potentially be viable in DFS. Jarvis Landry is currently on the COVID list and Odell Beckham Jr. is no longer with the Browns leaving the WR position potentially very thin on Monday. If Landry is out and Schwartz is active then Schwartz should slot right into a significant role. If both Landry and Schwartz are active then Schwartz could still be viable given the Browns' lack of depth at the position.
CLE RB Kareem Hunt and WR Anthony Schwartz ruled out for Saturday; TE Harrison Bryant questionable
Kareem Hunt and Anthony Schwartz ruled out for Saturday against the Las Vegas Raiders, while Harrison Bryant is questionable. As expected, Kareem Hunt will not be able to suit up this weekend so it will be a heavy workload for Nick Chubb who should be considered as one of the top plays on the Saturday slate. Behind Chubb, D’Ernest Johnson will be available to mix in and should play a decent sized role in the running game. Anthony Schwartz is still dealing with issues from a concussion and he will also be out meaning the Browns will be even thinner at receiver than they already are. Donovan Peoples-Jones and Rashard Higgins are slated to lead the receiving corps with practice squad members likely to be elevated later in the week to fill out the depth chart.
CLE RB Kareem Hunt (ankle) and WR Anthony Schwartz (concussion) DNP Wednesday
Kareem Hunt (ankle) and Anthony Schwartz (concussion) logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of Saturday's matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders. Kareem Hunt is not expected to be able to suit up this weekend so it will be a heavy workload for Nick Chubb who should be considered as one of the top plays on the Saturday slate. Behind Chubb, D’Ernest Johnson will be available to mix in and should play a decent sized role in the running game. Anthony Schwartz is still dealing with issues from a concussion and if he were to once again be ruled out the Browns would be even thinner at receiver than they already are, following Jarvis Landry being placed on the COVID list earlier this week. Donovan Peoples-Jones and Rashard Higgins are slated to lead the receiving corps with practice squad members likely to be elevated later in the week to fill out the depth chart.
CLE RB Kareem Hunt (ankle) and WR Anthony Schwartz (concussion) DNP Tuesday; TE Harrison Bryant returned to practice
Kareem Hunt (ankle) and Anthony Schwartz (concussion) DNP Tuesday, while Harrison Bryant returned to practice ahead of the Browns matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders this Saturday. kareem Hunt is not expected to be able to suit up this weekend so it should be a heavy workload for Nick Chubb who should be considered on the Saturday slate. Behind Chubb, D'Ernest Johnson will be available to mix in and should play a decent sized role in the running game. Anthony Schwartz is still dealing with issues from a concussion and if he were to once again be ruled out the Browns would be even thinner at receiver than they already are following Jarvis Landry being placed on the COVID list earlier today. Donovan Peoples-Jones and Rashard Higgins are slated to lead the receiving corps with practice squad members likely to be elevated later in the week to fill out the depth chart. Harrison Bryant should be able to return this week and play an important role for the Browns, as Austin Hooper was just added to the COVID list. Bryant and David Njoku should split tight end work in an offense that heavily relies on tight ends. They can both be considered Saturday.
CLE WR Anthony Schwartz (concussion), TE Harrison Bryant (ankle), and David Njoku (COVID) ruled out for Sunday
Anthony Schwartz (concussion), Harrison Bryant (ankle), and David Njoku (COVID) all ruled out for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens. With Schwartz officially ruled out Rashard Higgins and Ja'Marcus Bradley will likely see a few more snaps as they round out the Cleveland receivers depth chart behind Jarvis Landry and Donovan Peoples-Jones. With both Bryant and Njoku ruled out, Austin Hooper becomes the lead tight end for an offense that loves targeting tight ends. He will be one of the best plays at the position this weekend and can be considered in most formats.
CLE WR Jarvis Landry returned to practice Thursday; WR Anthony Schwartz (concussion) and TE Harrison Bryant (ankle) DNP
Jarvis Landry returned to practice Thursday, while Anthony Schwartz (concussion) and Harrison Bryant (ankle) both logged DNPs. As expected, Landry returned to practice after taking an extra day off yesterday for injury maintenance. Anthony Schwartz still has been unable to log a practice while dealing with a concussion and his status for Sunday remains in question. Bryant has officially been ruled out for Sunday’s game with his ankle injury. David Njoku and Austin Hooper would be the primary tight ends for the Browns with Bryant out but Njoku’s status is in question after being placed on the COVID list Tuesday. Njoku would need to test negative twice separated by 24 hours prior to the game on Sunday to be available to play. If he were unable to suit up Hooper would be expected to see a large workload with Miller Forristall available to back him up and play in two tight end sets.
CLE WR Jarvis Landry (knee), WR Anthony Schwartz (concussion), and TE Harrison Bryant (ankle) will not practice Wednesday
Jarvis Landry (knee), Anthony Schwartz (concussion), and Harrison Bryant (ankle) will not practice Wednesday ahead of the Browns matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Jarvis Landry has been dealing with a knee injury the last few months and usually takes a day or two off practice for maintenance purposes so his absence is not concerning at this time. Schwartz is still in the concussion protocol but was at the team facilities today so he seems to be trending in the right direction to play this Sunday. Bryant has been officially ruled out for Sunday's game with his ankle injury. David Njoku and Austin Hooper would be the primary tight ends for the Browns with Bryant out but Njoku's status is in question after being placed on the COVID list yesterday. Njoku would need to test negative twice separated by 24 hours prior to the game on Sunday to be available to play. If he were unable to suit up Hooper would be expected to see a large workload with Miller Forristall available to back him up and play in two tight end sets.
CLE WR Anthony Schwartz ruled out for Sunday; WR Donovan Peoples-Jones listed questionable
Anthony Schwartz has been ruled out for Sunday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens while Donovan Peoples-Jones has been listed questionable. Schwartz wasn't expected to play a major role this weekend but his absence could mean a few more snaps for Ja'Marcus Bradley and a few more targets for all other members of the Cleveland receiving corps. It seems as though DPJ is trending in the right direction to suit up on Sunday night but if he were unable to play Jarvis Landry would be the unquestioned alpha receiver while Rashard Higgins would move into the secondary role with the tight ends Austin Hooper, Harrison Bryant, and David Njoku also playing a bigger role in the passing game.
