Anzejs Pasecniks Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Isaac Bonga (groin) out Tuesday; Anzejs Pasecniks (neck) available to play
Bonga has officially been downgraded from questionable and won't play in Tuesday's matchup against the New York Knicks due to a groin contusion, while Jerome Robinson remains listed as questionable with left Achilles soreness that has already forced him to miss one game. In Robinson's absence, Bonga actually ended up receiving the starting nod alongside Bradley Beal on the wing, but he was essentially irrelevant for fantasy purposes in just over 15 minutes of action, whereas Troy Brown Jr. saw 30 minutes off the bench and Shabazz Napier was forced into a massive 40-minute workload as the only true point guard on the Wizards active roster with Ish Smith still sidelined. Not one individual player sees a substantial increase in usage rate with Smith off the court since the All-Star break, but Brown does have a 22.6% assist rate and is averaging 1.01 DraftKings and 1.02 FanDuel points per minute in a 203.3 minutes sample size.
Anzejs Pasecniks (ankle) will play limited minutes Thursday
Pasecniks has officially been upgraded from questionable and will play in Thursday's matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers after missing two games due to a sprained left ankle, while Rui Hachimura, Moritz Wagner, and Garrison Mathews all remain sidelined with their respective ailments and are without a timetable for their returns. Head coach Scott Brooks already confirmed with reporters that Pasecniks will only see limited minutes in his first game back, but it's unclear if that's because of the aforementioned ailment or because Ian Mahinmi, Thomas Bryant, and Davis Bertans are now healthy and absorbing a large portion of the available frontcourt minutes on a nightly basis.
Anzejs Pasecniks (ankle) out Wednesday
Pasecniks has officially been downgraded from questionable and won't play in Wednesday's matchup against the Miami Heat due to a sprained left ankle that has now forced him to miss two games, while Moritz Wagner, Rui Hachimura, and Garrison Mathews all remain sidelined with their respective ailments. Pasecniks had seen his role in the rotation become much more volatile in recent games with the return of Thomas Bryant and Davis Bertans to the frontcourt mix, and he's played as little as two minutes and as many as 23 minutes in his last three contests. Bryant finally eclipsed the 20-minute mark for the first time since returning from injury in Monday's win, so with Pasecniks unavailable, Ian Mahinmi remains an intriguing tournament target at the center position, as he should have a more stable minute floor and is averaging 1.01 DraftKings and 1.05 FanDuel points per minute on the season thus far.
Anzejs Pasecniks (ankle) out Monday
Pasecniks has officially been downgraded from questionable and won't play in Monday's matchup against the Detroit Pistons due to a sprained left ankle, while Jordan McRae will be available to play despite being a limited participant in Sunday's practice with an ankle injury. Pasecniks has seen his role in the rotation become much more volatile in recent games with the return of Thomas Bryant and Davis Bertans to the frontcourt, and he's played as little as two minutes and as many as 23 minutes in just the Wizards last three contests. Bryant still hasn't logged more than 17 minutes in a single game since returning from injury, so with Pasecniks unavailable, Ian Mahinmi becomes an intriguing tournament target at the center position, as he should have a more stable minute floor and is averaging 0.97 DraftKings and 1.01 FanDuel points per minute on the season thus far.
