Jermaine Kearse Injury Update
Jermaine Kearse remains sidelined with an abdominal injury and there's no clear timetable for his return. With Ardarius Stewart suspended, the Jets are thin at Wr for their Week 1 matchup at Detroit, leaving Robby Anderson in line to see an increased target share from rookie Qb Sam Darnold.
Charone Peake (ankle) placed on IR
Peake suffered an ankle injury in Week 3 and it was serious enough for the Jets to put him on the injured reserve. He hasn't been much of a factor yet this season, failing to log more than 16 snaps in any of the first three games. ArDarius Stewart will solidify his role as their WR4 and isn't on the fantasy radar.
Jeremy Kerley a surprise inactive for NYJ
Kerley was expected to man the slot for the Jets, but he'll join Bryce Petty on the inactive list for the season opener. It's possible that his recent addition to the roster plays into his status, but it's not as if he'd have a steep learning curve even with less than a week to prepare. This news certainly bodes well for Robby Anderson who is now a safer bet for looks on the outside while guys like Jermaine Kearse and ArDarius Stewart also candidates to step up for the league's least talented receiving corps.
