Artturi Lehkonen Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Multi-Point Potential At A Discounted price
The Toronto Maple Leafs love to play high event hockey and with the Montreal Canadiens ability to get the puck on net, there should be plenty of scoring opportunities for the Habs tonight at the Air Canada Center. Artturi Lehkonen continues to drive play and create scoring chances, and they have finally started to go in for him (four goals and 18 shots on net in his last four contests), and I think he finds the score sheet once again tonight, in what could end up being a back and forth high scoring affair.
Do Not Fade This Line Tonight In Any Format
The Montreal Canadiens are not an offense I target often, but their number one line should definitely be on your radar tonight in all formats as they face the defensively challenged New York Islanders. The Islanders remain the National Hockey Leagues worst defensive team, sitting at or near the bottom of the league in almost every relevant defensive statistic. Despite the Canadiens troubles scoring goals this year (29th overall in goals per game), I still think their top line has a big night tonight at the Bell Centre. In cash games, Max Pacioretty is the top draw here, with the moderately priced Jonathan Drouin and the inexpensive and underrated Artturi Lehkonen also making fine plays. In GPPs, this line has as much potential as any line in hockey this evening, so I suggest you get at least some exposure to them.
Overlooked top line winger draws dream matchup
After potting eight goals in 11 games last month, Max Pacioretty has yet to find a marker this month, posting just four points in nine games. Much of this could be due to the fact he has had average at best players centering him, but with Jonathan Drouin joining him on the top line, he could be in for a gigantic game. There is no better night than tonight against Alexandar Georgiyev, who is making his first start in the National Hockey League. While the Canadiens are unlikely to have a solid scouting report on the rookie, they should not really need one as the New York Rangers' defense has been an absolute abomination all season long. The Rangers can claim the National Hockey League's worst adjusted xGA/60 (2.61) at 5-on-5. Furthermore, the Blueshirts have allowed a league-high four goals per game this month. Mad Max's linemates Jonathan Drouin and Artturi Lehkonen are dirt-cheap and allow you to grab a premium-priced stack. On defense, grab some Jeff Petry or even take a bottom of the barrel punt on Victor Mete who sees time on the team's second power play unit.
Best Bang For Your Buck On the Wing
The Montreal Canadiens find themselves in a great spot tonight, hosting a Vegas Golden Knights team that struggles defensively, and that will be playing on the tail end of a road back-to-back. The Golden Knights continue to sit at the bottom of the National Hockey League in most relevant defensive categories (ranking 26th overall in both CA/60 and SCA/60), and as a result, the goals against are starting pile up, with Vegas allowing 21 goals against in their last five contests. Both of the Canadiens top two scoring lines are producing right now, and there is plenty of value to be had. With both Artturi Lehkonen and Andrew Shaw seeing a ton of ice time at both even strength and on the Habs top power play unit, they instantly become two of the best value plays tonight on this nine-game slate. Whether you are using them as a one off in cash games or as part of an inexpensive line stack, both of these players have big upside at a discounted price.
The Canadien's advanced metrics are off the charts
It's been an extremely disappointing start to the season for the Montreal Canadiens, but Artturi Lehkonen has been one true bright-spot thus far. The 22-year-old may have just two goals and three assists in 13 games this season, but his strong play has landed him alongside Jonathan Drouin on the Hab's top forward line (and #1 power-play unit). Through 13 games, Lehkonen's 61.02 CF% is the tenth best mark in all of the NHL and he's somehow managed maintain such a high puck possession rate despite being one of the most offensively aggressive players in the league (21.77 iCF/60). He's still dirt cheap on most sites, and his advanced metrics and new prominent role make him a great dollar-for-dollar option against a Winnipeg team not known for their defensive accolades.
Value Line Stack In Great Spot
If you're looking for value on offense tonight, consider taking Montreal's top scoring line featuring Jonathan Drouin, Artturi Lehkonen, and Paul Byron. Severely discounted, this line leads Montreal in scoring chances through the team's first 11 games this season. They draw a great matchup against a banged up Senators team that has allowed the third most scoring changes on tonight's slate. In a game that many may overlook in favor of higher projected scoring games, this trio should have no problems paying off their very reasonable price tags in a very winnable game for the Habs.
Inexpensive With Big game Upside
Analysis The Montreal Canadiens top line continues to dominate, driving play as well as almost any line in the National Hockey League. Arturri Lekhonen and Paul Byron may not be household names, but they have looked fantastic skating alongside Jonathan Drouin, and they both sit in the top 11 overall in individual high-danger scoring chances for, putting themselves in some elite company. The Canadiens top line is also very inexpensive to stack and they have multi-goal potential tonight at the Canadian Tire Center. The Ottawa Senators have struggled with their defensive zone coverage in 2017-18, surrendering the second-highest CA/60, while allowing the seventh-most SCA/60. If you are looking for some value pieces in cash games, or a potentially lower owned cheap line stack, this is one of my favorite spots. coming soon.
Jonathan Drouin's new wing-man
After a feeble start by his team offensively, Claude Julien has seen enough and has decided to overhaul his forward lines. The result: talented Arrturi Lehkonen getting a chance to play alongside Jonathan Drouin on the Hab's top forward line. Lehkonen scored 18 goals in his rookie season last year and has picked up three assists in over the last five games. His 61.32 CF% leads the Canadiens this season and these strong puck possession skills should play very well alongside an offensive weapon like Drouin.
