A goal in three straight games for bottom-dwelling Devil

After their shellacking at the hands of the Flames, Blake Coleman went into Edmonton the next time and embarrassed them 6-3. Coleman took three shots on goal and scored for his third consecutive game. Due to the rash of injuries up front for the Devils, Coleman has been a featured piece on the team's top line, top power play and when on the penalty kill. Going into Vancouver and a solid Jacob Markstrom is not the most ideal place, but if the Devils win this game, Coleman figures to be involved once again. His price is still hovering around $4,000 which seems too cheap given his heavy usage. He is a fine tournament target.

Cheap contrarian center continues to contribute for New Jersey

New Jersey may be terrible, as evidenced by their 9-4 pounding by the Flames last night, but Blake Coleman continues to get top minutes. Last night he had a goal and an assist in a tough matchup. Though tonight's spot is not great, going into Edmonton is not as daunting as Calgary. Coleman checks in at just $3,900 on DraftKings and $4,200 on FanDuel. The 27 year old sees ice time in all situations and is in a nice stretch at the moment, tallying 8, 3.5, 3 and 4 DraftKings points and 14.4, 9.6, 14.1 and 28.4 FanDuel points in his last four contests. With Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews and John Tavares sure to be popular, Coleman is a contrarian pivot in tournaments.

This Devil is soaking up minutes and will fly under the radar

With New Jersey's rash of injuries, Blake Coleman has seen his ice time soar. Two weeks ago, Coleman logged a career-high of just under 26 minutes of ice time. Blake has never been one to get power play time, but the injury to Nico Hischier has opened up power play time for Coleman, even on the top unit. The matchup for New Jersey is terrible in Washington, but Coleman has 11 shots on goal in three games this month and makes for an interesting one-off in tournaments given his heavy workload.

This MVP isn't having the season one would have hoped.

The New Jersey Devils host the Ottawa Senators, the team with the worst defensive numbers in the league. Ottawa is allowing a league-worst 3.86 goals against per game and has the worst CF% in the league with a 42.56 percent mark. The New Jersey Devils could score in bunches and this game could be a surprise high-scoring game. Taylor Hall is playing with Travis Zajac and Blake Coleman, and while Hall isn't having the best season after winning the MVP last year, but he's still been good. He has 33 points in 31 games but it is the 9 goals that stand out. After scoring 39 last year, he is on pace for just 23. Regardless, this is a premium matchup for Hall and his linemates and going with a two-man mini-stack with Hall and Zajac might make the most sense as they both play on the top power play unit together.
