Ravens signed Bobby Rainey

With Terrance West not expected to play this weekend, Baltimore added Rainey to their 53-man roster. West is essentially the third running back behind Javorius Allen and Alex Collins but his absence should provide a slight snap boost for the other two. Allen has now played 62.6% of the snaps and he's out-carried Collins 66 to 37. However, Collins has been a much more effective back on the ground; his 7.1 ypc has him leading the team with 261 rushing yards to Allen's 232. Collins hasn't even been targeted once in the passing game though and Allen is second on the team with 24 looks. Volume should be on Allen's side again when they take on the Bears in Week 6. He'll continue to have more appeal in full PPR formats as he's averaged 5.0 receptions per game over the past four weeks.

Giants expected to use running back committee

Rashad Jennings is expected to start in his first game back after injuring his hand, but beat writers are expecting Orleans Darkwa and Bobby Rainey to cut into his workload. It's a situation to avoid as the Ravens rank 1st in rush DVOA according to Football Outsiders.

Rashad Jennings OUT tonight vs Vikings

Jennings had been questionable all week with a thumb injury and the team has ruled him out in advance of tonight's game against the Vikings. Orleans Darkwa should see the bulk of the early down and goal line work and has some DFS value at his price point despite a tough match up against the Vikings. Bobby Rainey will be the passing down back and also has some value on PPR sites like DraftKings, especially if the Giants fall behind.

Rashad Jennings remains limited in practice

The Giants RB is still eyeing a return to action after missing last weeks game and with Shane Vereen done for the season the team could certainly use him. If he can't go the RB work would likely go to Orleans Darkwa on running downs and Bobby Rainey on passing downs but both are iffy DFS targets given their match up against the Vikings, who have been an elite defense thus far this season. We'll update the Giants RB situation throughout the week as more details come out.
