Kenny Britt re-aggravated groin injury Thursday, considered day-to-day

Britt exited practice early today after his groin started bothering him. He was inactive this past weekend due to the injury and is questionable for Week 6 when the Browns take on the Texans. If he does play, he'll likely start but he's performed poorly since joining the Browns, catching just 8-of-23 targets over four games. Perhaps he would come out motivated this Sunday or maybe Kevin Hogan under center can help his bottom line, but he's far from reliable at this point. If Britt sits, Ricardo Louis would be the de facto number one receiver although Duke Johnson leads the team in receptions (23) and receiving yards (270) while David Njoku has a team-high three touchdowns. The tight end caught two of those from Hogan and appears to have some chemistry with the quarterback. Newcomer Bryce Treggs was second to Louis with 42 snaps (Louis played 58) and he picked up six targets.

Kevin Hogan will start ahead of DeShone Kizer in Week 6

Coach Hue Jackson has decided to move Kizer, the league-leader in turnovers (11), to the bench this weekend when the Browns visit the Texans. Hogan came in for Kizer in the second half of their Week 5 game against the Jets and was impressive, completing 16-of-19 passes for 194 yards and two scores. He may have a better spot than it appears against the ailing Texans defense that will be without two of their best defensive players and pass-rushers, J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus. Houston currently ranks 11th in pass DVOA while they've allowed the sixth-most yards per attempt (7.9), seventh-most passing touchdowns (9), and tenth-best passer rating (97.5) through five weeks. Of course, Hogan won't have many weapons to work with on the Browns' thin offense. Kenny Britt may be inactive again, leaving Ricardo Louis, Rashard Higgins, Kasen Williams, and Bryce Treggs at receiver. Running back Duke Johnson caught a late touchdown from Hogan last week and continues to lead the team in receiving yards (270). Hogan has shown some chemistry with tight end David Njoku - they connected for a 3/3/48/1 line in the second half. Njoku has now caught two of his three touchdown balls from Hogan, nabbing one in each game the quarterback attempted at least 11 throws. The Texans defense ranks sixth in TE DVOA but they're allowing the fourth-most yards (72.8) and the eighth-most PPR points to the position (14.88 per game).

Bryce Treggs to start for Nelson Agholor, Darren Sproles to start at RB

With Nelson Agholor being a healthy scratch, the Eagles will give Bryce Treggs a shot to start on the outside to hopefully give them some ability to stretch the field. Treggs is lightning fast - he runs a 4.31 40 - and the Eagles have had basically no ability to move the ball in big chunks this year with their wideouts, so we could definitely see Carson Wentz take a few shots downfield to try to surprise the Green Bay defense. Philly's offense has been almost exclusively limited to short, quick hitting routes in recent weeks. Paul Turner should also see some run as the 4th receiver, but doesn't carry the same ceiling as Treggs. At the RB spot, Darren Sproles will draw the start, but expect Wendell Smallwood (and potentially Kenjon Barner) to see plenty of early down work. Game flow will likely have the biggest impact on how the Eagles use their backs.
