Gordon Hayward ruled out Monday
Gordon Hayward has been ruled out for Monday's game with the Cavs due to plantar fascitis. With Hayward out, look for Rodney Hood, Derrick Favors and Shelvin Mack to all pick up some of the slack on offense, while Joe Ingles and Chris Johnson should eat up most of the minutes left by Hayward at SF. While neither Ingles or Johnson are recommended DFS options, Hood, Favors and Mack are all very much in play tonight. With Hayward off the floor, Hood's usage rate climbs about four points to 26.1, making him a much stronger play at his mid-range price tag. Shelvin Mack's usage also climbs without Hayward on the floor, but the sample size there is still very small. The only concern here is that the Jazz have by far the lowest team total of the day.
Rodney Hood goes through shootaround; questionable for tonight's game
Hood missed the teams last game but did make it through shootaround today and will be a game-time decision for the Jazz when they take on the Washington Wizards. If he is able to go, it's a fairly solid match up as the Wizards are 20th in SG DvP and he's at a relatively affordable price and has good upside (he's scored 30+ fpts in 6 of his last 15 games). If he can't go, Chris Johnson would be the biggest beneficiary and would be a reasonable punt play. That said, he did only play 19 minutes and produced little when Hood sat out the last game, but it was against Golden State so the match up was a tough one. We'll keep you updated on Hood's availability as we learn more.
Rodney Hood (back) questionable for Friday
Rodney Hood misses Utah's game on Wednesday with a back injury and is questionable for Friday. If Hood misses the game, Chris Johnson will likely start again. Johnson had a poor game against the Warriors in his previous start but becomes a viable punt option against the Wizards. Johnson will be severely under-owned and could exceed value if he is given over 20 minutes.

Chris Johnson has been confirmed as the starter for tonight's contest with the Warriors. Johnson is a viable punt option tonight on the late slate. He should be able to exceed value on his minimum salary on Wednesday.
Chris Johnson (illness) probable for tonight
Chris Johnson is probable to play tonight against the Kings. He wasn't able to finish last night's game due to an illness, but apparently things have subsided enough that he'll be able to take the court tonight. His presence will eat into the playing time of Rodney Hood and Joe Ingles, but Hood is still a very strong target at SG on tonight's 5 game slate. Johnson isn't a DFS option.

Chris Johnson will be starting for the injured Rodney Hood tonight. Johnson is a GPP play only as the Jazz are playing the Heat tonight. Johnson has been playing well and his salary is still near a minimum price. Johnson has back-to-back 18+ FPs nights so he is a viable punt option.
