Chris Kreider Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

This winger seems to have finally settled in on his newest team

Playing on the top line in New York seems to be working out so far for Ryan Strome. He's playing alongside Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad and has put up some solid offensive numbers as of late. Since March 1st, Strome has 8 goals and 12 points in 16 games which is a great scoring stretch for him. Tonight the Rangers host the Ottawa Senators — a team that over the last month has a league-worst 41.62 CF% and also a league-worst 67.42 CA/60.

This team has stacked their top line.

The New York Rangers have stacked their top line as of late, with the few players worth stacking a line with. Mika Zibanejad, Mats Zuccarello and Chris Kreider make up the top line for the Rangers as they host the Los Angeles Kings. Additionally, this line plays together on the top power play unit. This gives the entire line full-game correlation and elite upside. Over the last month, the Kings have allowed 62.8 CA/60 which is bottom 5 in the NHL which is encouraging for the Rangers.

This centre leads his low-scoring team in points.

The New York Rangers have stacked their top line with what little offensive talent they have. Mika Zibanejad is centering Mats Zuccarello and Chris Kreider, and the trio also play on the top power play unit together which gives them full-game correlation and elite upside on a three-game slate. They visit the New Jersey Devils, a team that in January has allowed 59.87 CA/60 which is the 9th most and their 45.83 CF% ranks 29th. The Rangers struggle to score with a 27th ranked 2.73 GF/GP, but the matchup is decent enough that they should be able to put the puck in the net.

This winger leads his team in goals with a great matchup.

The New York Rangers host the Philadelphia Flyers who are on the tail-end of a back to back. The Flyers defeated the Winnipeg Jets last night, which bodes well for the Rangers as the Flyers should be tired. Chris Kreider, Mats Zuccarello and Brett Howden are playing together as the Rangers top line but it is a Kreider/Zuccarello mini-stack that is the most appealing. Kreider leads the team in goals with 22, Zucc leads the team in points with 44 and the two are leading the team in shots. Additionally, they play on the top power play unit together which gives them further correlation.

Target League's Worst Defense

The Ottawa Senators' defense this year has been the worst in the NHL, and it's honestly not that close. They have allowed 107 goals in 25 games, or 4.28 goals per game. Vancouver is the second worst at 3.55, so the gap is quite significant. Tonight, they face a depleted Rangers team, but that means more minutes to go around to cheap players. Filip Chytil's price has finally gotten a bump, but he's still affordable considering his role. He has points in 6 of his last 8 games, and that should get better against the league's worst defense.

This line has been on fire for the New York Rangers.

Whether you consider them to be the top line or not, Chris Kreider, Kevin Hayes and Filip Chytil have been incredible for the New York Rangers. Kreider has picked up 6 goals and 11 points over the last 10 games, while Hayes has also picked up 11 points and Chytil has scored 5 goals. Tonight they have a home game against an Ottawa Senators team that is allowing 4.35 goals per game — the worst mark in the NHL.

Rostering a New York Ranger? Could it be?

Yes, indeed! After missing a good chunk of the 2017-18 season, Chris Kreider has returned with a splash, particularly of late as the product of Boxford, Massachusetts has picked up at least a point in five of his last six games. Altogether, Kreider has collected two goals and seven assists during this stretch. To no one's surprise, the Buffalo Sabres are once again the worst team in the National Hockey League. Compounding matters for them is they played last night and have the short turn-around time against a Rangers team that is averaging 3.10 goals per game in March. Stacking the New York Rangers can be tough as they get production from everywhere, and lines seem to rotate often, but if looking for a low-owned forward with multi-point upside, take a chance with Chris Kreider.

This speedster is finally back to full speed

Seemingly finally back to full speed, Chris Krieder has picked up assists in each of the last two games and will be leaned on heavily for offense after New York's moves at the trade deadline. The speedy winger should thrive in what figures to be a high event game in Edmonton tonight and also sees a major fantasy boost considering the Oilers abysmal 73.6% penalty kill. Kreider is slated to skate alongside Mika Zibanejad and Pavel Buchnevich on the Ranger's top forward line and #1 power-play unit and, like Clayton Keller, sports a very modest asking price.

Target This Top Line In A Sneaky Shootout

If you are looking to maximize the potential of a line stack tonight, look to the top line of New York which features Buchnevich, Kreider, and the expected return of Zibanejad. They draw a great matchup against a depleted Anaheim team that has been repeatedly been bailed out by strong goaltending this season despite entering tonight's game with the highest xGA/60 among available road teams. Also featured on New York's top power play unit, this trio should be very active on the man advantage tonight against a tired Ducks team that will be playing on consecutive nights a long way away from home. In a game that should play at a fast pace between two struggling defensive teams, loading up on the top line for New York could pay major dividends tonight.

Winger fresh off multi-goal game looks for more

Chris Kreider broke out in a big way last time out as he potted two goals in a tough road matchup against Scott Darling and the Carolina Hurricanes. The scattered scoring of the Rangers always complicates things, but Kreider is cheap enough where he can be used as a solo play in tournaments. Kreider collected 17 of his 28 goals last season on home ice where he averaged nearly a point per game. Detroit's defense looked overmatched on Wedneday night as the struggling Oilers were able to put six goals past them. The Rangers have been scoring goals for fun, and Kreider's cheap price point is a great way to gain exposure to their offense.
