Collin Johnson Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

NYG QB Mike Glennon, WR Kadarius Toney, WR John Ross listed out for Sunday; WR Collin Johnson listed questionable

Mike Glennon, Kadarius Toney, John Ross all listed out for Sunday's game against the Washington Football Team, while Collin Johnson has been listed questionable. Mike Glennon is dealing with a wrist injury and if he were unable to go this weekend, Jake Fromm would likely draw the start. Fromm wouldn’t be a significant drop-off from Glennon as neither has been very good. With Toney and Ross ruled out, we could see some practice squad receivers (like Pharoh Cooper) get some meaningful game snaps behind Kenny Golladay, Darius Slayton, and Collin Johnson. It remains difficult to trust any member of the Giants offense in DFS contests.

NYG WR Kadarius Toney, WR John Ross, and QB Mike Glennon DNP Thursday; WR Collin Johnson returned to practice

Kadarius Toney, John Ross, and Mike Glennon logged DNPs Thursday, while Collin Johnson returned to practice ahead of the Giants matchup against the Washington Football Team this Sunday. It seemed as though Toney could be trending towards a return after practicing yesterday but now it starting to look like the rookie's season will be over. It is encouraging to se Johnson return to practice as it looks like he could suit up this weekend. Mike Glennon is dealing with a wrist injury and if he were unable to go this weekend, Jake Fromm would likely draw the start. Fromm wouldn’t be a significant drop-off from Glennon as neither has been very good. If Toney and/or Ross were unable to play this weekend we could see some practice squad receivers (like Pharoh Cooper) get some meaningful game snaps behind Kenny Golladay, Darius Slayton, and Collin Johnson. It remains difficult to trust any member of the Giants offense in DFS contests.

NYG WR Kadarius Toney returned to practice Wednesday; QB Mike Glennon, WR Collin Johnson, and WR John Ross DNP

Kadarius Toney returned to practice Wednesday, while Mike Glennon, Collin Johnson, and John Ross all logged DNPs ahead of New York's matchup against the Washington Football Team this Sunday. It seems as though Toney is trending towards a return this week and could slot back in as one of the top pass-catchers for the Giants. Mike Glennon is dealing with a wrist injury and if he were unable to go this weekend, Jake Fromm would likely draw the start. Fromm wouldn't be a significant drop-off from Glennon as neither has been very good. If Johnson and/or Ross were unable to play this weekend we could see some practice squad receivers (like Pharoh Cooper) get some meaningful game snaps. It will be important to monitor the practice status of the Giants players as the week progresses.

NYG WR Kadarius Toney, WR John Ross, and WR Collin Johnson listed out Sunday

Kadarius Toney, John Ross, and Collin Johnson all listed out for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. The New York Giants continue to be ravaged by injuries to their receiving corps and will only have one healthy active roster wideout this weekend, Kenny Golladay. Golladay will be Mike Glennon's top target with a bunch of practice squad members filling out the rest of the ranks. It remains difficult to trust any member of the Giants offense in DFS contests.

NYG RB Saquon Barkley and TE Kyle Rudolph returned to practice Thursday; WR Kadarius Toney, WR John Ross, and WR Collin Johnson all DNP

Saquon Barkley and Kyle Rudolph returned to practice Thursday, while Kadarius Toney, John Ross, and Collin Johnson all logged DNPs ahead of the Giants matchup with the Chicago Bears this Sunday. Saquon Barkley and Kyle Rudolph seem to be trending in the right direction to suit up this weekend where they should slot back into their usual roles. Barkley will be expected to lead the backfield with Devontae Booker available to back him up. Rudolph should back up Evan Engram at the the tight end position. Toney, Ross, and Johnson all seem to be trending in the wrong direction, with Toney having the most impact if he is forced to miss. With no Toney, Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton would be the top receivers for the Giants and would see an increase in expected volume. It is tough to trust many members of the New York offense at this point due to the quarterback play of both Jake Fromm and Mike Glennon.

NYG RB Saquon Barkley, WR Kadarius Toney, WR Collin Johnson, TE Kyle Rudolph DNP Wednesday

Saquon Barkley, Kadarius Toney, Collin Johnson, Kyle Rudolph all logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of the Giants matchup against the Chicago Bears. This practice was just a walkthrough so a majority of these players could have been taking an extra maintenance day for their injuries, tomorrow's practice report should give us more information regarding who is really banged up. If Barkley were to be unable to suit up this week Devonta Booker would be a tremendous value option this weekend, as he would be expected to lead the backfield and has had success doing so in the past. If Toney were unable to play, Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton would be the top options in the New York passing game. If Rudolph were unable to play, Evan Engram could be considered in DFS contests based on expected volume. It is tough to trust many members of the New York offense at this point due to the quarterback play of both Jake Fromm and Mike Glennon.

NYG WR Kadarius Toney listed questionable for Sunday; RB Gary Brightwell and WR Collin Johnson ruled out

Kadarius Toney has been listed questionable for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, while Gary Brightwell and Collin Johnson have been ruled out. Toney could be slated to make his return and would likely be somewhat limited after dealing with COVID as well as an oblique injury. Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton could play larger roles if this was the case. Johnson and Brightwell both would have served as depth pieces so there absence is not expected to be DFS relevant.

NYG WR Collin Johnson inactive Sunday

Collin Johnson will be inactive for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. With both Kenny Golladay and Sterling Shepard being cleared to play there was no reason for Johnson to be active. Johnson's absence is not expected to be DFS relevant.

NYG WR Collin Johnson inactive; RB Saquon Barkley, WR C.J. Board, and TE Chris Myarick active

The Giants promoted Board and Myarick earlier in the day from the practice squad to the active roster, and both will be active for the Giants, likely only chipping on special teams. Johnson had been claimed by the Giants after the Jaguars cut him in the offseason, but will sit out. Saquon is officially active as expected; his workload projection is certainly volatile, but he will get an opportunity to improve on his poor week 1 showing.

NYG WR Collin Johnson and TE Evan Engram inactive

Evan Engram was ruled out earlier in the week but both he and Collin Johnson were listed as inactive for when the Giants take on the Denver Broncos. Kyle Rudolph and Kaden Smith should share tight end snaps and the receiving attack should be led by Kenny Golladay and Sterling Shepard.
