Conor Garland Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
This team is somehow in the playoff hunt with a plethora of injuries.
The Arizona Coyotes have had a plethora of injuries this season. Some are healthy again like Alex Galchenyuk, but many remain on the shelf or are out for the season like Nick Schmaltz and Antti Raanta. Despite their lack of scoring as a team, the line of Galchenyuk, Jordan Weal and Conor Garland is an interesting play tonight. Galchenyuk and Garland are on the top power play unit with Clayton Keller, Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Jakob Chychrun which benefits them and makes them a decent mini-stack if you don't want to include Weal. The Coyotes power play is nothing special ranked 19th, but they face the 29th ranked penalty kill of the Ottawa Senators which is encouraging.
25-year-old rookie has a goal in three straight games
The Edmonton Oilers' defensive struggles were full circle at the end of December, but they started out strong in January with a 3-1 win against this same Arizona team. However, they followed that up with a miserable 4-0 defeat against the timid Kings. While there are some better games to target, this one has sneaky shootout potential given the volatile nature of both teams. One route to go is with Conor Garland who has four goals over his last three games. Garland's price across the industry is worth taking a flyer on in mass multi-entry tournaments as he has flashed multi-goal upside in the American Hockey League and just last Sunday against the Rangers when he buried two on seven shots.
