LVR WR Tyron Johnson signed to active roster; TE Derek Carrier activated to 53-man roster from IR; TE Daniel Helm released

Tyron Johnson has been signed to active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Derek Carrier has been activated to the 53-man roster from IR, while Daniel Helm has been released. Johnson is expected to continue to serve as receiver depth and should not be DFS relevant even on a showdown slate. Carrier is expected to serve as tight end depth behind Darren Waller and Foster Moreau Sunday night and will mostly be used as a blocker. Carrier will take the role of Helm who has been released.

Darren Waller officially inactive Monday afternoon

No surprise here, but passing along confirmation given the island game. With Waller out of action, some of the target share will shift over to the WR/RB positions, but Foster Moreau should eat up the majority of what is left behind for the TEs with Daniel Helm and Nick Bowers also potentially factoring into the equation. Hunter Renfrow benefits here, as does Bryan Edwards and Zay Jones.

Garrett Celek Placed on Injured Reserve, Daniel Helm Promoted to Active Roster

Celek's season is over, as the 49ers placed the TE on injured reserve Thursday. Daniel Helm was added to the active roster, although his role will not be significant.
