Danny Woodhead won't have a snap count Week 12
The running back only played 13 snaps last week but that was in part due to game flow as the Ravens shut out the Packers. He was very active when he was on the field, tallying six targets and a rushing attempt in just 13 plays. He's supplanted Buck Allen as the passing down back ahead of their Monday night showdown with the Texans. While Houston has been poor against the pass in general, they've managed to stymie pass-catching backs. They're currently fourth in receiving RB DVOA and holding the position to the third-fewest receptions (4.1/g) and fourth-fewest receiving yards (34.2/g). The Ravens are 7.0-point favorites in this contest.
Danny Woodhead (hamstring) active Sunday; Terrance West and Breshad Perriman are healthy scratches
The Baltimore Ravens officially activated Danny Woodhead from injured reserve on Saturday and will be active for today's game against the Green Bay Packers after missing the last nine weeks with a hamstring injury he sustained during the season opener. The Ravens backfield is suddenly healthy for the first time with Woodhead, Alex Collins, Terrance West and Buck Allen all on the active roster, which is why West is the odd man out and will be a healthy scratch with Baltimore deciding to only activate three running backs this afternoon. Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg already confirmed that Alex Collins will remain the team's lead back for the foreseeable future, though that role is obviously subject to change depending on how this running back rotation shakes out throughout Sunday's game. It's still a cloudy situation but one would imagine this means Woodhead would serve as the passing down and change-of-pace back, if healthy, while Allen would just be around to clean up the scraps and likely see his snap count drastically reduced.
Ravens activate Danny Woodhead (hamstring) from IR, eligible to play Sunday
The Baltimore Ravens have officially activated Danny Woodhead from injured reserve and he will be eligible to play in tomorrow's game against the Green Bay Packers after missing the last nine weeks with a hamstring injury he sustained during the season opener. Woodhead still technically remains questionable on Ravens' injury report and will likely be a game-time decision, but his activation from the injured reserve is certainly a positive sign towards his availability. Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg already confirmed that Alex Collins will remain the team's lead back for the foreseeable future, though that role is obviously subject to change depending on how this running back rotation shakes out, especially Woodhead possibly entering the mix. If Woodhead is able to suit up in Week 11, either Terrance West or Buck Allen figure to the be the odd man if Woodhead ends up being anywhere near as productive as he was prior to the injury.
Alex Collins will remain Ravens featured back Week 11
Terrance West and Danny Woodhead are both practicing this week and questionable for Sunday. Despite their potential returns to the field, offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg told reporters Thursday that Collins will keep his featured role this weekend against the Packers. The Ravens are road favorites and their stout secondary could overwhelm Brett Hundley and keep game flow in Collins' favor. Green Bay is eighth in adjusted line yards (3.61) but they're allowing the tenth-most rushing touchdowns to RBs (0.67/g) and the 13th-most rushing yards (99.33/g). Collins hardly gets any action in the passing game - three receptions all year - and Woodhead's presence would further diminish the limited potential Collins has in the area. It would also be a big drag on Buck Allen's production. Allen currently leads the team in targets and derives most of his fantasy production through his work in the passing game, so if Woodhead is expected to handle a decent workload, Allen would slip off the fantasy radar. If West is active, he could steal some early-down work from Collins, limiting Collins' upside. It's worth following this situation into the weekend as Collins may also lose his fantasy appeal if West plays despite his "featured" designation.
Danny Woodhead questionable for Week 11
Woodhead, who's been in the IR with a serious hamstring injury will practice tomorrow and possibly return to the field on Sunday. He'll be closely monitored by the coaching staff throughout the week to see how he responds. If he's able to play, he could be limited in his first game back but the snaps he picks up would likely come at the expense of fellow passing-down RB Buck Allen.
Ravens placed Danny Woodhead (hamstring) on IR Thursday, promoted Jeremy Langford from practice squad
With only two running backs on the active roster, Baltimore was expected to promote Langford or Alex Collins from the practice squad. Langford isn't expected to make much of an impact as Terrance West and Buck Allen will split the lion's share of the running back duties. Woodhead's injury should provide a nice boost to Allen, who will likely take over the passing-down role vacated by Woodhead. He'll compete for carries with West as well. He out-snapped the starter 33 to 27 against the Bengals and out-carried him 21 to 19, although West out-rushed him 80 to 71 and scored a touchdown. At his bargain price, our projection model highlights Allen as a great value on FanDuel and DraftKings.
Coach John Harbaugh confirms Danny Woodhead (hamstring) will miss at least four weeks
While Baltimore has stated his injury will keep him sidelined for "at least four weeks," ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Tuesday that he'll miss six to eight weeks. If that's indeed the prognosis, the Ravens will likely send him to the IR. They currently have two healthy backs on their active roster in Terrance West and Buck Allen. Woodhead's injury should provide a nice boost to Allen, who ended up seeing 33-of-66 snaps on Sunday. Overall, the Ravens rushed the ball 42 times in their shutout victory over the Bengals and Allen led the way with 21 attempts, turning them into 71 yards. It appears that he'll enter into a timeshare with starter Terrance West, who played 27 of the offensive snaps. Buck will likely take over the passing-down role vacated by Woodhead, although there has been some chatter surrounding Michael Campanaro filling that role to some degree. Baltimore also has Jeremy Langford and Alex Collins on their practice squad.
Danny Woodhead (hamstring) expected to be out 4-6 weeks
Woodhead was carted off the field on Baltimore's opening drive in Week 1. It looks like he will miss a significant amount of time, likely four to six weeks. His injury should provide a major boost to Buck Allen, who ended up seeing 33-of-66 snaps on Sunday. Week 1 injury roundup
Allen Robinson tore his left ACL Sunday, which will end his season. Jacksonville will now start Allen Hurns and Marqise Lee at receiver with Keelan Cole operating as the third option. With the Jaguars jumping out to an early lead, quarterback Blake Bortles only attempted 21 passes (and completed just 11) Sunday. Hurns led the team with four targets while Lee didn't get a single look. They'll get the Titans next week, which should open up more receiving opportunities.
David Johnson sprained his wrist against the Lions. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported he would miss a "few weeks" or "half the season or more." However, Pro Football Talk countered that, saying it hasn't yet been determined if DJ will miss time. It'll be an important situation to monitor this week as the Cardinal's get a mouth-watering matchup with the Colts on Sunday.
Kevin White, the perpetually-injured receiver, may have suffered a broken collarbone that ESPN's Dan Graziano believes will require season-ending surgery. Expected to be without their top two receivers going forward, Chicago will need to lean on Kendall Wright as their WR1. Wright only saw four targets against the Falcons while tight end Zach Miller topped him with six and breakout running back Tarik Cohen led the team with 12, hauling in eight for 47 yards and a touchdown. the 5'6" rookie added 66 rushing yards on five attempts.

Ronald Darby, the starting right cornerback for the Eagles, will be out 4-6 weeks with a dislocated ankle. Philadelphia's defense was already vulnerable on the outside; his absence should help the Chiefs passing game in Week 2.
Orlando Scandrick, the starting left cornerback for the Cowboys suffered a broken left hand Sunday night. It hasn't yet been determined how many games he'll miss, but Dallas was optimistic Sunday night. The Cowboys visit the Broncos in Week 2.
Danny Woodhead likely has torn ACL
Reports are coming in that Danny Woodhead likely has a torn ACL - an injury that would end the Chargers RB's season. Melvin Gordon, who already has three TDs this season, would see an even bigger workload, especially inside the red zone with Woodhead out.
