David Krejci Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
New Look Bruins Should Do Fine This Afternoon
The Boston Bruins will look to take down a Los Angeles King team that not only took Philadelphia to a shoot-out on Thursday night, but handed them their first loss over the last nine games. This will not be the case this afternoon however as the Bruins will look to go about attacking the Kings a different way this afternoon. David Pastrnak is being looked to lead the team from the second line this afternoon as he will find David Krejci and Peter Cehlarik as his line mates. This actually makes things easier in the DFS world as now Pastrnak and his 31 goals can be used as a one-off here instead of trying to cram the high-priced Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron onto your roster.
Despite a plethora of injuries, this team keeps trucking along.
The Boston Bruins are riddled with injuries (they just got Torrey Krug Back), but they were still a respectable 5-4-1 over their last 10 games and ride a 2-game winning streak as they host the struggling Arizona Coyotes. Over those 10 games, the Bruins sport the 5th-best CF/60 at 61.21 and have a 52.94 CF% which puts them 7th over that stretch. This has mostly come from the top line of David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand and David Krejci (who is filling in for the injured Patrice Bergeron). A mini-stack of Pastrnak and Marchand is also in play if you don't want to go for the full line stack. For a team waiting to get healthy and coming off two wins over the weekend including embarrassing the Toronto Maple Leafs, this is a great matchup to continue their winning ways.
Veteran playmaker averaged a point per game on home ice last season
David Krejci will never stand out for fantasy purposes as he is a pass-first, seldom shoot-the-puck player, but he quietly collected 29 points (13G, 16A) in 29 games at TD Garden last season. Krejci will always be lurking on the depth chart behind Patrice Bergeron and the Bruins' explosive top line, but he does see power play time, including factoring into Brad Marchand's overtime game-winning goal the other night against Dallas. At a reasonable price across the industry (DraftKings - $4,500 & FanDuel - $5,400), Krejci makes some sense in some unique Bruins' builds.
Moderately Priced Line Stack With Sneaky Upside
If you're looking for value tonight, consider taking the second line of Boston which features David Krejci, Rick Nash, and Danton Heinen. A point per game player at home this year, Krejci and his linemates aren't required to play the "tough" minutes against the opposition's top scoring threats and are among the league leaders in offensive zone faceoffs and scoring chances generated on home ice. Also seeing time on the league's sixth ranked power play, look for Boston's second line to be very active on the man advantage tonight against a Columbus penalty kill that ranks 23rd in the NHL and will be without their best defenseman in Seth Jones tonight.
Veteran Boston Bruin playmaker thriving with new linemate
Last time out, David Krejci exploded against the Pittsburgh Penguins, recording a hat trick in just 16:25 of ice time. David is not really known for his upside, but he does have multi-point upside given his playmaking ability. With Patrice Bergeron still out, Krejci figures to see more offensive opportunities, and the matchup this afternoon is mouth-watering as Montreal is on the tail end of a back to back. Krejci quietly has 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) in 20 games on home ice, and with the addition of Rick Nash, Krejci could be in line for a plethora of assists while distributing to Nash. Krejci is moderately priced across the industry and makes for an excellent play as part of a cheap line stack with Jake Debrusk and Rick Nash.
Value Line Stack In Breakout Spot
If you're looking for value tonight, consider taking the second line of Boston which features David Krejci, Ryan Spooner, and Jake DeBrusk. Pointless in each of the past three games, this line is due to breakout in a big way against a hapless Edmonton defense that has has surrendered 3.8 goals against during the month of February. Also seeing time on Boston's ninth power play, look for Boston's second line to be very active on the man advantage tonight against an Edmonton penalty kill that ranks dead last in the NHL this season.
Value Line Stack In Great Spot
If you're looking for value from a line stack tonight, consider taking Boston's second line which features David Krejci, Ryan Spooner, and Jake DeBrusk. With 16 points in his first 12 home games this season, Krejci and the second line draw a juicy matchup against a New Jersey team that has played well over their heads throughout much of this season despite allowing too many scoring chances for their own good. Not required to play the "tough" minutes against the opposition's top scoring threats, Krejci, Spooner, and DeBrusk should have no problems paying off their reasonable salaries with the amount of offensive zone faceoffs they receives on home ice.
Value Line Stack With Juicy Matchup
If you're looking for value tonight, consider taking the second line of Boston which features David Krejci, Ryan Spooner, and Jake DeBrusk. Fresh off a multipoint effort in last night's win over Montreal, Krejci and the second line draw a juicy matchup against a struggling Islanders defense that has allowed the most scoring chances in the league this year and has surrendered 4.33 goal against over their last nine games. Also seeing time on Boston's ninth ranked power play, look for Boston's second line to be very active on the man advantage tonight against an Islanders penalty kill that ranks 30th in the NHL this season.
Value Stack In Great Spot
If you're looking for value tonight, consider taking the second line of Boston which features David Krejci, Ryan Spooner, and Jake DeBrusk. Fresh off a multipoint effort in their last game at Ottawa, Krejci and the second line draw a juicy matchup against the league's worst defensive teams in the Islanders who have allowed the most scoring chances on tonight's slate. Also seeing time on Boston's ninth ranked power play, look for this trio to be very active on the man advantage tonight against an Islanders penalty kill that ranks 30th in the NHL this season.
Veteran playmaker looks to stay hot in Detroit
David Krejci will never really blow you away as he is not much of a shooter, but he is a skilled playmaker, and in 15 games this season, Krejci has collected 12 points (4 goals, 8 assists). Krejci and the Bruins will face off against the inconsistent goaltending of the Detroit Red Wings who have allowed a league-high 4.75 goals per game in December. Krejci is discounted across the industry and offers a nice pivot from the popular options at the top. Additionally, since David plays on the Bruins' top power play unit, he makes for an interesting power play stack with Bruins' star-studded top line.
