David Moore Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

DEN RB Melvin Gordon active Sunday; WR David Moore inactive

As expected, Melvin Gordon will be active Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. Somewhat of a surprise is that David Moore will be inactive. Moore has been serving as the Broncos third wide receiver but with the recent addition of John Brown his spot might have been taken. It remains to be seen how much run Brown gets as he has only been with the team for about a week but ultimately this shouldn't have too much of an impact in DFS contests. Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick are the top receivers for the Broncos and the only ones worth considering playing at this point.

Broncos WR David Moore will play Sunday

After losing Jerry Jeudy for a few weeks and K.J. Hamler for the year, the Broncos will be getting a reinforcement in the form of Moore as they prepare to play the Baltimore Ravens. He'll likely round out three WR sets, as Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick will be the clear top two options. Noah Fant and Albert Okwuegbunam will also vie for targets, as the Broncos go up against their biggest test of the year. Moore shouldn't be played in DFS this week.

DEN QB Brett Rypien promoted to active roster, WR David Moore signed by Broncos off Raiders' practice squad

The Denver Broncos have promoted Brett Rypien to the active roster and signed David Moore off Raiders' practice squad. Brett Rypien was likely promoted to avoid another team signing him off the practice squad and the Broncos now have 3 quarterbacks on their active 53 man roster Teddy Bridgewater, Drew Lock, and Rypien. It is unlikely Rypien sees the field unless an emergency situation arises. Moore was signed to help fill the wide receiver need the Broncos have after placing both Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler on IR. Moore will likely serve as the team's 4th or 5th receiver behind Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, and Diontae Spencer.

David Moore 2021 Fantasy Outlook

Per RotoGrinders NFL player projections, David Moore is expected to be the fantasy WR112. He's being drafted on Underdog Fantasy as WR137 at pick 317, compared to his RotoGrinders ranking of 267 as of July. We currently expect a 5% target share which amounts to a projection of 32 targets (Rank 114) and 255 receiving yards (Rank 108) during the 17 week fantasy season.

David Moore had the occasional big game in Seattle, but don't expect him to get more opportunities in Carolina. The Panthers drafted rookie Terrace Marshall in the second round despite having other needs, showing just how much they like the 21-year-old from LSU. He's Moore's most significant hurdle to meaningful fantasy production in 2021.

David Moore (Shoulder) Expected to Play Week 3

Moore didn't show up on the final injury report of the week, indicating that he will be playing for the Seahawks Week 3. He will bring a big play threat to the passing offense, but will be a boom-or-bust DFS option.

David Moore (Shoulder) Full Practice Participant

Moore is on track to make his season debut Week 3, practicing fully Thursday. It isn't clear what his role will be in the offense, but he is a big-play threat when healthy.

David Moore (Shoulder) Has a "Really Good Chance" to Play Week 3

Coach Pete Carroll said there was a "really good chance" David Moore makes his debut Week 3. Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf are firmly at the top of the WR depth chart, but there will be a role for Moore as an explosive option. Last season he averaged over 17 yards per reception for the Seahawks on 26 catches.

WR D.K. Metcalf Active, While WR David Moore Inactive for Seahawks

D.K. Metcalf will serve as one of the top options in the passing game alongside Tyler Lockett today for Russell Wilson. Though the competition for targets will be small, Wilson may not have to attempt many passes. The Seahawks are nearly double-digit favorites at home against the Bengals.

Doug Baldwin practices in full Friday; not on injury report

Doug Baldwin practices in full Friday and is not on the injury report for Sunday. There is also no sign of Chris Carson on the injury report, so the Seahawks should be a full-go Sunday afternoon. The Seahawks WRs are still a risky group with Lockett being the safest of the trio, but David Moore has started to eat more and more into the equation as the season wears on.

Seahawks released WR Brandon Marshall

The writing was on the wall after the veteran wideout played only 2 snaps in Week 8 coming out of the Seahawks bye week. They'll move forward with Doug Baldwin, Tyler Lockett, and David Moore in 3-WR sets. Moore's stock has actually been on the rise in the past few weeks which included a 97 yard, 1 touchdown performance this past Sunday. He remains below $4K on DraftKings.
