Deon Cain Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Steelers Sign WR Deon Cain and RB Kerrith Whyte Jr. to the 53-Man Roster, Release LB Jayrone Elliot and RB Tony Brooks-James

The Steelers will try to get more out of rookies Cain and Whyte Jr. than the teams that drafted them this year as they look to add quality depth behind the injured James Conner and Juju Smith-Schuster.

Colts Elevate WR Marcus Johnson and QB Chad Kelly to Active Roster, Waive WR Deon Cain and DT Kyle Peko

The Colts added Kelly to back up Brian Hoyer, who will start tomorrow with Jacoby Brisset (MCL) sidelined. Cain, who was a sixth-round draft pick in 2018, hasn't produced and been able to take advantage of extra playing time when T.Y. Hilton has been injured this season.

Colts WR Parris Campbell Inactive Tonight Against Chiefs

As expected, Campbell is sidelined for tonight's game. Look for Deon Cain, Chester Rogers, and Zach Pascal to see increased opportunity against the Chiefs.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (Quad) is Active for Sunday Night Football

As expected, Hilton will take the field for the Colts tonight.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (Quad) Optimistic to Play Sunday Night

Hilton will likely return to the lineup after missing last week because of injury, which is great news for the Colts. They are going to need to feed the veteran to keep pace with the Chiefs, who are 11-point home favorites. Hilton is projected a healthy 24% target share, and Jacoby Brisset could be forced to throw often if the Chiefs get an early lead, which would translate to a lot of opportunity for Hilton.

Colts WR TY Hilton Officially Out

As expected, Hilton will not play today. Expect more opportunity for Deon Cain and Parris Campbell.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (Quad) not Expected to Play Vs. Raiders

As expected, T.Y. Hilton will likely be sidelined today. Deon Cain and Parris Campbell should be expanded roles and become viable GPP dart throws vs. the Raiders.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (Quadricep) and RB Marlon Mack (Calf) are Game-Time Decisions, Optimism Both Will Play

Hilton has been questionable on a frequent basis throughout his career recently, so it was always likely he would take the field vs. the Falcons. The speedster dominates his team in air yards and targets, and we all know he tends to excel at home in the dome. Projected for a 25% targets share against a Falcons defense that ranks 9th in pass DVOA, Hilton makes for a fine GPP play today.

On the other side of the coin, Mack is a fine play in all formats and is one of the top point-per-dollar options on the main slate. The Falcons are 30th in run DVOA through two games, and the Colts have one of the best offensive lines in the league. Mack isn't very involved in the passing game, but has seen 45 carries and 72% of the snaps in 2019. His ownership could also be suppressed due to reports he was seen with a walking boot earlier this week (holding a walking boot, not wearing one). Fire up Mack in a fantastic matchup if he is active.

Devin Funchess (Clavicle) Headed to IR, Could Return

Devin Funchess underwent surgery for his injured clavicle on Monday and was placed on IR. However, the injury is not season ending and Funchess could return later this season. Until then, Parris Campbell and Deon Cain should gain more targets. T.Y. Hilton remains the top option in the offense, but the loss of Funchess will probably allow the opposing defenses to focus even more on Hilton.

Devin Funchess (Broken Collarbone) to Miss Significant Time

Devin Funchess suffered a broken collarbone Week 1, leaving little depth at WR behind T.Y. Hilton. Funchess received the second most targets (5) and finished with 3 catches and 32 yards. The only other WR's to receive targets were Deon Cain (2) and Parris Campbell (1). Instead, the Colts leaned heavily on the run game and passing to their TE's and RB's. Expect Marlon Mack to continue carrying a heavy load.
