Devante Smith-Pelly Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

The top line leads the way for Washington but it's not the expected player that is doing it.

It is Evgeny Kuznetsov, not Alex Ovechkin that has been leading the way for the Washington Capitals this season. He's got 12 points in 7 games while Ovechkin has 9 in 7, including 6 goals. They have had a rotating right winger for the most part and last game was no different as Devante Smith-Pelly was on their line. Now, I'd recommend leaving him off the stack and going with just Kuz/Ovy and perhaps loading up John Carlson for some power play correlation albeit at quite the cost. They will be expensive but a matchup against Vancouver is an elite spot even though the Canucks have played alright this season.

Top line opportunity for playoff hero

Devante Smith-Pelly does not see much ice time, but with a gaping hole atop the Capitals' top line of Evgeny Kuznetsov and Alex Ovechkin, it looks like it will be Devante's turn. Devante has shown some scoring aptitude, after all, he scored a goal in three straight games in the Stanley Cup Final as Washington waxed Vegas in five games. Smith-Pelly is just $3,000 on DraftKings and $3,300 on FanDuel best served in tournaments as part of a line stack.
