Devin Shore Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

This upcoming UFA is looking to finish the season strong

It is a two game slate, so that is why we have any consideration for the Anaheim Ducks. The "second" line is probably the one that is of a bit of interest with Devin Shore centering Rickard Rakell and Jakob Silfverberg. Silfverberg has 6 goals and 10 points in 11 March games for the Ducks, both of which lead the team. The Ducks are hosting the San Jose Sharks tonight — a team that is on the tail-end of a back to back and has been hit with a mixture of injuries and flu-bugs. Both Logan Couture and Joe Pavelski missed last nights game, along with Erik Karlsson. All of these missing players plus the fact that it's a back to back means the Ducks could be able to actually put up some goals.

A somewhat sneaky spot for this cheap winger

Rostering Devin Shore won't make you feel all warm and cozy inside, but pairing him with one (or both) of his talented linemates is a great way to lower the average cap hit. Shore is lucky enough to find himself skating alongside Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn on the Star's top forward line and he also sees a healthy amount of playing time with the #2 power-play unit. Shore scored his fourth goal of the season against the San Jose Sharks over the weekend and tonight's matchup is far better than it may appear at first glance. Traditionally known as a very solid defensive team with excellent goaltending, that has not been the case for the Columbus Blue Jacket's down the stretch. They posted an abysmal 2.92 xGA/60 (at 5-on-5) during the month of December and Vezina Trophy winner Sergei Bobrovsky limped his way to a 3.46 GAA and .891 SV% in 12 starts during the month of December.

This Line Is Due For A Big Game

One of the most productive scoring tandems over the past few seasons, Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn have not enjoyed tremendous success this season. Despite contributing just 14 goals this season, this tandem has averaged a whopping 8.5 shots on goal on home ice this season, which indicates they are due for major positive regression. They should get plenty of opportunities to break out in a big way tonight against a Washington Capitals team that allows the fifth most shots on goal and the most scoring chances at even strength among available teams tonight. They won't be cheap and will certainly garner their fair share of ownership on tonight's nine game slate but they should still be rostered with confidence in this great spot on home ice.

New forward lines in Big D create a great value opportunity

Ken Hitchcock has shuffled up his forward lines, and the biggest beneficiary is arguably Devin Shore. The 23-year-old tallied 33 points in his rookie season last year and now finds himself as the third wheel alongside Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn on both the top forward line and #1 power-play unit. He may not be the most existing player to roster, but pairing him with one of his linemates is an easy way to offset their big-ticket asking prices.

Skating with the Stars

Ken Hitchcock has decided to bump Alexander Radulov from his team's top line as Devin Shore is expected to have another opportunity to skate with Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin at even strength. Shore has seen his ice time fluctuate, but he does see power play time, and his price across the industry costs next to nothing. Shore and the Stars have the pleasure of taking on a Vegas team playing on consecutive nights, and a big game could be in the works for Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin. If so, Shore has a good chance to be involved in some capacity. Vegas has surrendered a whopping 3.60 goals per game on the road, and will likely give up another handful of goals tonight.

Target This Power Play Combination Tonight

One of the most productive scoring tandems over the past few seasons, Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn have been split up in recent games in an effort to balance the team's scoring. Skating on the second line of Dallas alongside talented young playmakers Devin Shore and Brett Ritchie, Seguin is my preferred option of the two tonight where home ice will allow head coach Ken Hitchcock to get his best scoring threat matched up against one of the weaker defensive lines of Montreal. Entering tonight's game with a combined 21 points on the year, the trio of Seguin, Shore, and Klingberg should get plenty of opportunities to stay hot on the league's second ranked power play unit against a Montreal penalty kill that ranks 28th in the NHL this season. They won't be cheap and will certainly garner their fair share of ownership on tonight's three game slate but they should still be rostered with confidence in this great spot on home ice.

A tremendous opportunity awaits this 22-year-old

Line changes are one of the most common sources for value in DFS hockey, and Devin Shore is the prototypical example of this tonight. Ken Hitchcock has decided to separate the trio of Seguin/Benn/Radulov, and now Shore finds himself skating alongside Seguin at even strength and, perhaps more importantly, joining forces with those three on the Star's top power-play unit. Shore has dished out seven assists in 16 games this season and proved offensively capable last season as he posted 33 points in his rookie season.
