Fred VanVleet (knee) and DJ Wilson (knee) out on Friday; Thaddeus Young (illness) questionable. With VanVleet out, that should allow Malachi Flynn to continue to start. Gary Trent Jr. has also seen a +4% usage bump this season with VanVleet out. If Thad Young can't go, that'll be good news for Precious Achiuwa and Chris Boucher in the second unit.

This isn't great news for DFS purposes as it makes the Raptors situation even more muddled with Anunoby potentially back in the mix. Scottie Barnes is coming off a career game and should one or both of VanVleet and Anunoby return, it would take the shine off him. Malachi Flynn is also coming off a monster spot start and he'd be DFS irrelevant if VanVleet suits up. Wilson's status isn't very impactful for this slate given the depth the Raptors have with Boucher, Achiuwa and Thad Young. Stay tuned for more news.

Even though Wilson will be available with OG Anunoby out, it's unlikely he cracks the rotation as the Raptors still have Chris Boucher, Precious Achiuwa and Thaddeus Young in front of him. There shouldn't be any DFS impact here.
Kevin Porter Jr. (ankle), DJ Wilson (protocols), and Avery Bradley (personal) all ruled out Saturday; Kelly Olynyk (ankle) and Jae'Sean Tate (knee) listed questionable
The Rockets will be without half of their team again as they prepare to play the Utah Jazz. KPJ remains out with his ankle sprain, Bradley will miss his second game in a row due to personal reasons, and Wilson will miss his fourth due to the health and safety protocols. Olynyk and Tate are both questionable for the second game in a row; Olynyk played yesterday despite his ankle injury, while Tate was ultimately ruled out with his knee injury. The Rockets will have at most nine available players, and Olynyk and Tate both can't go, they'll only have 7, with one of them "active" but not available to play. DJ Augustin and Danuel House were both removed from the injury report, so this is good news for their outlook after they both played yesterday after long absences. It should be more minutes for the same group of characters; KJ Martin will have to play heavy minutes to help out in the frontcourt, along with Anthony Lamb, and Da'Quan Jeffries. Armoni Brooks and Augustin will both chip in at guard, with the newly signed Khyri Thomas filling as well. If Olynyk and Tate both can't go, it'll be full systems go for the other Rockets. If Olynyk can play, he may be a good value as someone who plays big minutes and will likely lead the team in fantasy points.

DJ Wilson (health and safety protocols) has been ruled out Sunday, the Rockets have Avery Bradley back but will still only have 9 available players. K.J Martin, DaQuan Jefferies, and Anthony Lamb should all see increased run off the bench with Wilson out and the starters should continue to see heavy run, it remains to be seen if Avery Bradley will be limited in any way upon his return. All Rockets players will see increased value strictly because of the playing time they will be forced to see Sunday against the Knicks.

Wilson wasn't a key piece in the rotation by any means, but if you were projecting a blowout, he can sometimes be a very efficient point per minute producer in garbage time, and provide salary relief for his trouble. With him ruled out, Ersan Ilyasova might get these minutes instead, but would likely not produce quite as efficiently. Either way, this is digging pretty deep to find a blowout driven punt play on this otherwise full strength Bucks sqaud.

Ilyasova was listed as probable with a sore left quad, but he’ll still enter the starting lineup at power forward with Antetokounmp unavailable and has averaged 22.4 minutes as a starter in the two games Antetokounmpo has missed this season. Unsurprisingly, Bledsoe, Khris Middleton, and Malcolm Brogdon have all benefited with Antetokounmpo off the court this season, but Middleton leads the way with a 33.9% usage rate (+8.5%), while Bledsoe has capitalized the most on his increased usage and is averaging 1.51 DraftKings and 1.48 FanDuel points per minute in this scenario.
