Ten Minutes to roster lock, no major news to report
It’s all quiet on the news front this week. Joel Dahmen took an early pass on the week and has been replaced by Dominic Bozzelli. Joel Dahmen has decided to take a pass on this week's event. At this time there is no injury news associated with this move. Dahmen has been replaced in the field by Dominic Bozzelli.
Aaron Baddeley is no longer in the field
Aaron Baddeley has removed himself from the field. He will be replaced by Domonic Bozell. Due to the timing of this move, there is a good chance we will not see Bozelli added to the pricing pools.
Field update for The Rocket Mortgage Classic
With less than 48 hours until the first tee shot of The Rocket Mortgage, there has already been some player movement to report for the week. Martin Piller and Doc Redman join Wes Homan and Austen Truslow as the four Monday qualifiers. Piller has the most experience of the group and can always be considered as a GPP option. Doc Redman is a young player worth keeping an eye on moving forward and will need to play well in the limited chances earned via exemptions and Monday qualifiers. Two more spots in the field have opened up due to the withdrawal of Julian Etulain and Jim Knous earlier today. Talor Gooch and Dominic Bozzeli will take their spots in the field. All new players to the field will have projections up later today.
Pat Perez is no longer in the field
Pat Perez and Whee Kim are no longer in the field for The Players Championship. Dominic Bozzelli and Wyndham Clark are now both in the field as alternates. It remains to be seen if either player will make their way into DFS pricing pools.
Dominic Bozzelli looked healthy in his return
Bozzelli started off his sophomore season on the PGA Tour with a very respectable T39 in last week's Sony Open. Prior to last week, Bozzelli was last seen at the RBC Canadian Open at the end of July. He finished the year inside the top 115 in the FedEx Cup race in spite of not playing in either the Barracuda or the Wyndham Championship. If an injury was the issue, then last week served as a notice that Bozelli is healthy and ready to go. Not surprisingly Bozzelli is projected to have a low ownership this week but could make an easy roster sub if you had Hagy in your lineups and you need a quick last-minute switch. Bozzelli started his run of good play at last year's CareerBuilder where he opened with a 64 and finished inside the top 5.
Dominic Bozzelli return after a mysterious absence
Dominic Bozzelli will start his second PGA Tour season this week at The Sony Open. Bozzelli was last seen at the RBC Canadian Open at the end of July. He finished the year inside the top 115 in the FedEx Cup race in spite of not playing in either the Barracuda or the Wyndham Championship. There hasn't been any information released on a potential injury, but one would have to assume that something held him back from playing and making money towards the end of his rookie season. Bozzelli should not be on the radar of many in the industry as there is some concern about the nature of his absence.
Dominic Bozzelli is no longer in the Wyndham Championship
In a surprising move, PGA Tour rookie Dominic Bozzelli has withdrawn from the Wyndham Championship. This marks the second straight week that Bozzelli has withdrawn from a tournament. Currently ranked in the 112th spot in the FedEx Cup standings, Bozzelli will struggle to maintain his position in the year end race. The reason behind the withdrawal remains a mystery, and we will provide any update as information becomes available. Bozzelli has played in 24 events this year and he has posted a respectable 4 top 25 or better finishes.
