Dustin Ackley Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Ventura has a 17.6 K% and BB%, Teixeira remains OUT

Yordano Ventura may have already walked the bases loaded on the way to the ballpark tonight. He has walked 11 of his last 44 batters and could make things really interesting with the Royals having gone to the bullpen very early last night. He has walked and struck out 17.6% this year. Walk fests aren't usually what we look for in daily fantasy batters, but a guy like Gardner (109 wRC+ vs RHP since 2015, 148 wRC+ last seven days) at the top of the lineup is line to score some runs tonight, while McCann (131 wRC+ at home, .208 ISO vs RHP since 2015) and Beltran (122 wRC+, .203 ISO vs RHP since 2015) stand to bat with some men on base tonight out of the 3rd and 4th spots. Dustin Ackley doesn't have the numbers (90 wRC+, .189 ISO vs RHP), but can provide middle infield salary relief with similar opportunities batting 5th.

Yankees lineup is bare, but affordable at home vs Medlen

Kris Medlen is a shell of his former self this season with a 16.2 BB% and 32.9% hard hit rate. The Yankees would appear to be in a strong spot tonight, but who the heck are these guys? Mostly cheap is what they are. Brian McCann (109 wRC+, .208 ISO vs RHP since 2015) homered last night and remains in the 3rd slot. He has 129 wRC+ at home since last season and 153 wRC+ with a 43.8 Hard% over the last week. He's affordable on either site for well under $4K. Carlos Beltran is even more affordable and has a 121 wRC+, .203 ISO since last season vs RHP. Brett Gardner (109 wRC+ vs RHP) is more expensive, but if Medlen is going to start giving out free passes, he has a 140 wRC+ at home since 2015 and 160 wRC+ over the last week and might be the one to benefit the most atop the lineup. Lastly, Dustin Ackley has just an 89 wRC+ vs RHP since 2015, but a .191 ISO and moves up to 5th in this lineup with a low price tag. He's also 2B eligible on DraftKings.

Griffin has a career 0.73 GB/FB, 11.7 HR/FB faces four Yankee bats with 200+ ISO vs RHP

A.J. Griffin has a 3.18 ERA built on a .220 BABIP and 16.7 K% and ERA estimators two runs higher. A career 0.73 GB/FB and 11.7 HR/FB make him a pitcher to target against a Yankee lineup with four bats boasting a .200+ ISO vs RHP since last season. Jacoby Ellsbury and Brett Gardner are not among them and only average vs RHP since last season, but should make it into any Yankee stacks as they'll be the ones scoring the runs ahead of the big bats if all go right. Carlos Beltran (126 wRC+, .203 ISO vs RHP since 2015) and Mark Teixeira (150 wRC+, .325 ISO vs RHP) are two of the bats you want, but Brian McCann (110 wRC+, .213 ISO vs RHP) makes a tough position a little easier in the five spot, while Dustin Ackley (95 wRC+, .205 ISO vs RHP) might be the surprising and most affordable name here. The Yankees have the 3rd highest run projection tonight (4.8).
