Can't expect them to play too much but this is noteworthy and maaaaybe Wade will convince coach Spoelstra to let him play more minutes than expected, but that is a big maybe.

Wade has officially been upgraded from probable and will be available to play in Monday's matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder despite dealing with a bruised right hip and still managed to log nearly 29 minutes in Sunday's win, while, Justise Winslow and Rodney McGruder were already ruled out with their respective ailments. In Winslow’s absence, Derrick Jones Jr. ended up receiving the starting nod at small forward and was serviceable from a fantasy perspective in 24 minutes of action in the aforementioned contest, while Josh Richardson slid over to the point guard position and absorbed a massive 38 minutes with Goran Dragic still partially limited. However, with Winslow off the court since the trade deadline, Dion Waiters actually owns a 22.0% usage rate and is averaging 1.02 DraftKings and 0.94 FanDuel points per minute in a 97.7 minutes sample size.

Wade and most of the key Miami rotation players have seen a reduction in playing time over the previous three games due to blowouts, but prior to this span, he had logged at least 30 minutes in two straight contests, which can also be partly contributed to the absence of Goran Dragic in those aforementioned games. Dragic has continued to come off the bench over the last three games, playing fewer than 21 minutes in both contests, so that should clear the way for Justise Winslow to continue serving as the Heat’s point guard in the starting unit. Winslow has thrived in the role for a majority of the season, and he owns a 20.5% usage rate and is averaging 1.07 DraftKings and 1.04 FanDuel points per minute since the All-Star break.

Wade has officially been upgraded from questionable and will play Wednesday’s matchup against the Dallas Mavericks despite dealing with an illness. Even following the departure of Tyler Johnson to Phoenix via trade, Wade has been consistently capping out in the high-20s in terms of minutes, which certainly keeps him in consideration for tournament formats on most slates. If he's limited, it would certainly be a boon to the minute floors of Rodney McGruder and Dion Waiters, though Waiters has already logged at least 30 minutes in each of the Heat’s previous three games, so it remains to be seen how much head coach Erik Spoelstra would be willing to increase his minute workload. This could lead to substantially more run in the second unit for McGruder, who’s played a minimum of 20 minutes off the bench in the last two contests, while Duncan Robinson could be relied upon to soak up meaningful minutes for realistically the first time all season should Wade be unable to suit up.
