Erik Haula Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Vegas needs someone to step up offensively
Vegas is off to a poor start, scoring two or less goals in all six games so far, but five of those games came on the road. During the 2017-18 regular season, Vegas averaged the fourth most goals per game (3.56) on home ice. Haula played a big role in that as he set a career high in points (55), amassing 29 goals and 26 assists. In fact, Haula reeled in 30 points in 36 home games last season. With Paul Stastny on the shelf for two months, Vegas will need Haula to step up his play, as he has found just a paltry point so far. With sniper Max Pacioretty on his wing, Haula has the opportunity to distribute. At $4,700 on both DraftKings and FanDuel, Haula is a viable source of salary relief.
Instant Chemistry For This Veteran Trio
If you're looking to differentiate your lineup without fading the league's biggest surprise in a great spot, consider the second line of Vegas which features veterans David Perron, Erik Haula, and the newly acquired Tomas Tatar. They draw a fantastic matchup against a hapless Vancouver team that has allowed the most scoring chances over their past 25 road games. Also featured on a red hot power play for Vegas, this trio should have no problems paying off their manageable salaries tonight against a Vancouver penalty kill that ranks 25th in the NHL this season.
Great Matchup For This Line
If you're looking to differentiate your lineup without fading the league's hottest team in a great spot, consider the second line of Vegas which features veterans James Neal, David Perron, and Erik Haula. With a combined 28 points over their last 10 games, this trio has found instant chemistry for the upstart Golden Knights. They draw a juicy matchup against one of the league's worst defensive team in Edmonton, who own the third worst adjusted xGA/60 over their past 15 games. Also featured on a red hot power play for Vegas, this trio should be very active on the man advantage tonight against an Edmonton penalty kill that ranks dead last in the NHL this season.
Look For This Line To Stay Hot Tonight
If you're looking to differentiate your lineup without fading the league's hottest team in a great spot, consider the second line of Vegas which features veterans James Neal, David Perron, and Erik Haula. With a combined 25 points over their last 10 games, this trio has found instant chemistry for Vegas this year. They draw a juicy matchup against the league's worst defensive team in the Islanders, who have allowed the second most shot attempts, the second most scoring chances, and own the league's worst adjusted xGA/60 since December 1st. Also featured on the top power play for Vegas, this trio should be very active on the man advantage tonight against an Islanders penalty kill that ranks 30th in the NHL this season.
Emerging center is a fantastic option in all formats
Erik Haula has come alive in December, burying four goals and two assists in just five games as the Golden Knights and he are riding a four game winning streak. Tonight Vegas will be fortunate to take on a Carolina team which has struggled mightily on the road. Additionally, backup netminder should get the start as Scott Darling started in Anaheim last night. Cam Ward has been clobbered on the road throughout his career, and it has only gotten worse over the past few seasons. While Carolina is an excellent possession team, their goaltending leaves a lot to be desired. The Golden Knights' top line will be popular, but Erik Haula should not be overlooked as he will center the team's top power play unit. Erik is an easy fit in cash games and a worthy tournament play given the salary savings.
