Middle Infield Upside At A Bargain Price

Marco Gonzlales is another southpaw we can attack on this Saturday evening. The 26 year old lefty has struggled throughout his career when facing hitters from the right side of the plate (surrendering a .392 wOBA and a 38.4% hard hit rate), and I think we see more of the same tonight in Safeco Field. Hitting at the top of the Oakland As order, both Marcus Semien and Jed Lowrie (on DK) remain underpriced, and both have big game upside in this plus matchup. Also, if the As top prospect Franklin Barreto gets the start, he makes a tremendous salary saver.

Jed Lowrie scratched Saturday; Franklin Barreto will replace and bat seventh

Lowrie has officially been scratched from the Oakland Athletics lineup for today's game against the Chicago White Sox due to an unspecified reason. He'll be replaced in the lineup by Franklin Barreto, who will take over the second base duties and bat seventh. This lineup change will move Ryon Healy up to the three-hole and Bruce Maxwell up one spot to sixth, while the remainder of the Athletics initial confirmed batting order will remain the same.
