Henrik Zetterberg Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Swedish Berries
Henrik Zetterberg has only registered three points over his last ten games, so he may very well go overlooked tonight. But this matchup should set up perfectly for him. He will likely get matched up against the Eichel line, in an effort to shut them down. This bodes well because Eichel is the worst defensive center on the Sabres, and it keeps Zetterberg away from Ryan O'Reilly, one of the best defensive centers in the business.
The Other King Henrik
Even at his advanced age, Henrik Zetterberg still gets used as a shutdown center against opponents' best teams. Though they've been good this year, traditionally the Monahan line doesn't hold a candle to the Backlund line defensively. As such, Zetterberg is getting the better matchup in a home game, potentially getting to fire off at Eddie Lack. Definitely a plus situation to be in.
Beefy Winger Takes Sizzling Start to Toronto
The 6' 5" product of Quebec is off to a sizzling start to the new season with seven points (3 goals, 4 assists) in six games. Mantha forms a formidable top line with Henrik Zetterberg (3 goals, 4 assists) and Gustav Nyquist (2 goals, 1 assist). Last season, Anthony Mantha manufactured 36 points (17 goals, 19 assists) in 60 games played, and he should be in line for an even better season for a decent Detroit team. Mantha played particularly well against the Leafs last year as he found two goals and an assist in three games. Additionally, Anthony potted 82% of his goals on the road last season. It is a tough spot for Toronto after two big wins and career backup Curtis McElhinney likely in net. Anthony should be heavily involved at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto tonight.
Under-owned with multi-point upside
Although I prefer the Washington Capitals, Calgary Flames and Anaheim Ducks offensively tonight, I think the Detroit Red Wings offense is in play, despite the fact that they are playing on consecutive nights. The Vegas Golden Knights may be 3-0, but they have not been good defensively, relying on goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury to stand on his head. The Golden Knights have surrendered over 35 shots per game this year, while ranking 27th overall in both CA/60 and SCA/60. In other words, teams are going to start scoring on Vegas and it starts tonight with a Red Wings offense led by veteran Henrik Zetterberg. The very reasonably priced Zetterberg is getting up there in years, but he continues to skate on the Red Wings top line and number one power play unit, and he has multi-point upside in this plus matchup tonight.
