Isaiah Briscoe (knee) out Friday

Briscoe has been diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his right knee and won't play in Friday’s matchup against the Dallas Mavericks after previously being listed as questionable, while Terrence Ross was removed from the injury report and is set to make his return from a sore left Achilles that forced him to miss one game. Briscoe managed to record 26 minutes off the bench in Tuesday’s loss with Ross sidelined, but he typically sees around 18-22 minutes when the Magic are at full strength at the wing and guard positions. So, now that he's unavailable, Jerian Grant will likely rejoin the rotation as the backup point guard, while Ross and Wes Iwundu will be tasked with absorbing any vacated minutes at two-guard position in the second unit. Theoretically, D.J. Augustin should also see an uptick in playing time, but he will likely need to approach or surpass the 30-minute mark to provide value on tonight’s nine-game slate, as he owns just an 18.4% usage rate and is averaging 0.87 DraftKings and 0.84 FanDuel points per minute on the season.

Isaiah Briscoe (knee) listed as questionable Friday

Briscoe has been added to the most recent version of the Magic's injury report and is listed as questionable for Friday's matchup against the Dallas Mavericks due to a sore right knee, while Terrence Ross was removed from the injury report and is set to make his return from a sore left Achilles that forced him to miss one game. Briscoe managed to record 26 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's loss with Ross sidelined, but he typically sees around 18-22 minutes when the Magic are at full strength at the wing and guard positions. So, if he's unable to suit up, Jerian Grant would likely rejoin the rotation as the backup point guard, while Ross and Wes Iwundu would be tasked with absorbing any vacated minutes at two-guard position in the second unit. Theoretically, D.J. Augustin should also see an uptick in playing time, but he will likely need to approach or surpass the 30-minute mark to provide value on tonight's nine-game slate, as he owns just an 18.4% usage rate and is averaging 0.87 DraftKings and 0.84 FanDuel points per minute on the season.

Isaiah Briscoe (concussion) will play Thursday

Briscoe cleared the concussion protocol and will play in Thursday's matchup against the Golden State Warriors despite originally being listed as doubtful due to the aforementioned concussion that had forced him to miss two consecutive games. Head coach Steve Clifford already confirmed that Briscoe will reclaim his typical backup point guard role from Jerian Grant, who will likely accrue a DNP-CD after averaging 19.7 minutes off the bench over the previous two contests. Briscoe has averaged 24.5 minutes over his previous five games, so it's certainly possible D.J. Augustin sees a downtick in playing time following a couple of serviceable fantasy performances in a minimum of 27 minutes per game while Briscoe was sidelined.

Isaiah Briscoe (concussion) out Sunday

Briscoe is a new addition to the Magic's injury report and won't play in Sunday's matchup against the Toronto Raptors due to a concussion that's forced him to be placed in the NBA's concussion protocol, while Mohamed Bamba and Markelle Fultz remain sidelined indefinitely with their respective ailments. In his absence, Jerian Grant will rejoin the rotation and serve as the primary backup behind D.J. Augustin at point guard. However, Briscoe has averaged 24.5 minutes over the previous five games, so it's unlikely Grant is given the reign to absorb all of Briscoe's vacated minutes and it should enable Augustin to see an uptick in playing time as well. Unfortunately, Augustin will likely need to approach the 30-minute mark to provide value on today's slate, as he owns just an 18.4% usage rate and is averaging 0.84 DraftKings and 0.81 FanDuel points per minute on the season.

Isaiah Briscoe (ankle) will be active but not expected to play Tuesday

Briscoe will reportedly be active but is not expected to play in Tuesday's matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder after missing two consecutive games due to a sprained right ankle. Briscoe appears to be healthy enough to play, but head coach Steve Clifford reiterated to reporters that he wants Briscoe to practice before returning to the court. Over his previous nine games, Briscoe had been serving as the primary backup point guard behind D.J. Augustin, so in his absence, Clifford already confirmed that Jerian Grant remain in Briscoe's vacated role in the rotation, which has enabled him to log at least 20 minutes off the bench in each of the Magic's last two contests.

Isaiah Briscoe (ankle) listed out Sunday

Briscoe has officially been downgraded from questionable and won't play in Sunday's matchup against the Houston Rockets due to a sprained right ankle that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games. Meanwhile, the status of Mohamed Bamba has yet to be updated after head coach Steve Clifford told reporters he was unsure if Bamba would travel with the team because of an illness. Over his last nine games, Briscoe had been serving as the primary backup point guard behind D.J. Augustin, so in his absence, head coach Steve Clifford already confirmed that Jerian Grant will take over his vacated role in the rotation, which typically equates to around 20 minutes per contest.

Isaiah Briscoe (ankle) out Friday

Briscoe has officially been downgraded from questionable and won't play in Friday's matchup against the Washington Wizards due to a sprained right ankle he sustained during the first quarter of Wednesday's loss. Over the Magic's last nine games, Briscoe has been serving as the primary backup point guard behind D.J. Augustin, so in his absence, head coach Steve Clifford already confirmed that Jerian Grant will take over his vacated role in the rotation, which typically equates to around 20 minutes per contest. This will be the third game between the Magic and Wizards this season, and in the prior two meetings, Evan Fournier has actually led the team with a 28.0% usage rate and averaged 34.0 DraftKings and 33.4 FanDuel points in those contests, respectively.
