Cheap price tag gives young Jet viability in all formats

Though the Senators smashed the Jets just a week ago, it will be hard for them to duplicate that result, especially on the road with the Jets coming off a poor effort. With Patrik Laine unable to find his game, Jack Roslovic has been getting top power play minutes with Winnipeg's first line and Dustin Byfuglien. Ottawa's 3.65 goals allowed per game on the road is the worst mark in the National Hockey League. Roslovic is a core cash game play at his price tag given the matchup.

No price move despite hat trick in previous game

Though the Ducks' defense can make anyone look good, it is hard to ignore Jack Roslovic at punt pricing given his talent. He does not see top minutes, but that has not stopped him from collecting five goals in his last three outings. At just $2,800 on DraftKings, it doesn't make much sense to pass on Roslovic in cash games given the savings and upside he has flashed recently. There are a number of studs worth grabbing tonight, and punting a spot with Roslovic makes all of that possible. The Jets and Sharks will play at a nice pace providing Roslovic with more opportunity to produce once again.

Dirt-cheap winger could see increased role

Jets' forward Jack Roslovic will be a game-time call tonight which could thrust Mathieu Perreault in a more prominent role on the team's second line. After his 39 points in 70 games last season, Mathieu has been a big disappointment, but the Ducks are giving up far too many scoring chances for their own good. Keep an eye out during warmups and use late swap to your advantage with this punt as both Mathieu Perreault and Jack Roslovic check in at $2,700 on DraftKings and $3,400/$3,400 on FanDuel, respectively. Roslovic himself has two goals in his last three contests and would be the preferred option if he is good to go.

This sniper is itching to get out of his cold streak.

After scoring 18 goals in 12 November game, Patrik Laine's goalscoring touch has completely dried up. He has just 4 goals in 24 games since December 1st which is absolutely discouraging. However, that is the streakiness of this kind of player. He's playing on a line with Bryan Little and Jack Roslovic which doesn't necessarily scream optimism, but his presence on the top power play unit is always going to give him an opportunity to put the puck in the net. This is a line you might as well stack in its' entirety as Laine is on PP1 while the other two — Little and Roslovic — are on PP2, so there is no PP1 mini-stack to take advantage of.

Punt with this Winnipeg youngster

It is not pretty, but on a two game slate with must-play studs, Roslovic is one of the best sources of salary relief. He has not done much in his time with the Jets, but the matchup tonight is a decent one in a game that should be played at a fast pace. Roslovic is minimum priced across the industry and an integral piece in being able to grab Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and the like. Even if he puts up a 0, one of the studs could outscore a more balanced approach in lineup construction.

Nikolaj Ehlers' injury leaves ice time for young Jet

Jack Roslovic has not done much over his last two games, going pointless with just a shot on goal, but in his first game without Ehlers, Roslovic had three shots on goal and a power play assist against Dallas. Roslovic is talented but doesn't see the same opportunity as some of his teammates. However, on a back to back it wouldn't be surprising to see him approach 15 minutes. Roslovic skates on the second line with ice cold Laine and lackluster Bryan Little, but this is a cheap stack to get exposure to the home team. In any event, Roslovic's cheap price tag makes him a cash staple in a stars and scrubs approach.

Winnipeg rookie embracing top line opportunity

Jack Roslovic was recommended last time out at his rock bottom salary, and he did not disappoint as the youngster potted a goal on three shots as the Jets picked up at least a point for their seventh consecutive game. While he has seen an increase in price given the matchup, he still makes for an excellent play against the Arizona Coyotes. Roslovic powered the Manitoba Moose with 35 points (15 goals, 20 assists) in 32 games before his second call-up several weeks ago. Jack is a great way to gain cheap exposure to the Jets' top line of Blake Wheeler and Patrik Laine as well as the team's top power play unit as Paul Maurice has bestowed the top center role to Roslovic. The Coyotes own the National Hockey League's worst goal differential (-1.15), and on this loaded slate, saving some salary with Jack is a great way to go in all formats.

Massive opportunity for Jets' youngster

Jack Roslovic is the bare-minimum on FanDuel ($3,000) despite skating on the Winnipeg Jets' top line with studs Blake Wheeler and Patrik Laine. Although Roslovic has yet to duplicate his offensive prowess displayed in the minors this season (35 points in 32 games), Jack has a good chance of producing tonight against a Colorado team that has not fared well on the road. Not only does Jack skate on the team's top line, but he is also seeing significant power play time on the team's top unit. With a smattering of superstars worth spending up for tonight, punting with Jack Roslovic makes a lot of sense to save salary. All he needs to do is run into an assist tonight to hit value, and that should not be too much to ask for of this talented rookie.
