Jake DeBrusk Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Second half of the season has been kind to Boston Bruin
With the New York Rangers' penalty kill being non-existent on the road (76.9% - second-worst in the National Hockey League), targeting Boston and particularly their top power play unit is the way to go. DeBrusk checks in at a reasonable $4,500 on DraftKings if you cannot quite get the three-headed monster into your lineups. After a subpar 18 points in 41 games before the All-Star break, DeBrusk has matched that point total in just 20 games after the break (9G, 9A). He is a fantastic play in this mouth-watering matchup.
Affordable winger gains exposure to top power play unit
Jake DeBrusk hasn't really matched his efficiency from last season, but he has a nice opportunity tonight against a Jets' squad which is on short rest. Winnipeg has had issues staying out of the box all season long, and a shooter like DeBrusk can capitalize, especially when playing on the Bruins' loaded top power play unit. DeBrusk has been relatively quiet lately, but as a whole the Bruins have too. Accordingly, his price has come down which makes him a nice target in tournaments in a power play stack.
Boston is finally getting some secondary scoring
Jake DeBrusk torched the Flames last time out, scoring two goals on six shots. Since returning from a three week absence, DeBrusk has come alive with 18 shots on goal in just four games. Boston's top line is the one to target here, but DeBrusk makes for a nice complimentary piece, especially while skating on the team's top power play unit. DeBrusk's nice stretch here is no fluke as last season he logged 43 points in 70 games as a rookie. Jake checks it at under $5,000 on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Value Line Stack In Breakout Spot
If you're looking for value tonight, consider taking the second line of Boston which features David Krejci, Ryan Spooner, and Jake DeBrusk. Pointless in each of the past three games, this line is due to breakout in a big way against a hapless Edmonton defense that has has surrendered 3.8 goals against during the month of February. Also seeing time on Boston's ninth power play, look for Boston's second line to be very active on the man advantage tonight against an Edmonton penalty kill that ranks dead last in the NHL this season.
Value Line Stack In Great Spot
If you're looking for value from a line stack tonight, consider taking Boston's second line which features David Krejci, Ryan Spooner, and Jake DeBrusk. With 16 points in his first 12 home games this season, Krejci and the second line draw a juicy matchup against a New Jersey team that has played well over their heads throughout much of this season despite allowing too many scoring chances for their own good. Not required to play the "tough" minutes against the opposition's top scoring threats, Krejci, Spooner, and DeBrusk should have no problems paying off their reasonable salaries with the amount of offensive zone faceoffs they receives on home ice.
Value Line Stack With Juicy Matchup
If you're looking for value tonight, consider taking the second line of Boston which features David Krejci, Ryan Spooner, and Jake DeBrusk. Fresh off a multipoint effort in last night's win over Montreal, Krejci and the second line draw a juicy matchup against a struggling Islanders defense that has allowed the most scoring chances in the league this year and has surrendered 4.33 goal against over their last nine games. Also seeing time on Boston's ninth ranked power play, look for Boston's second line to be very active on the man advantage tonight against an Islanders penalty kill that ranks 30th in the NHL this season.
Value Stack In Great Spot
If you're looking for value tonight, consider taking the second line of Boston which features David Krejci, Ryan Spooner, and Jake DeBrusk. Fresh off a multipoint effort in their last game at Ottawa, Krejci and the second line draw a juicy matchup against the league's worst defensive teams in the Islanders who have allowed the most scoring chances on tonight's slate. Also seeing time on Boston's ninth ranked power play, look for this trio to be very active on the man advantage tonight against an Islanders penalty kill that ranks 30th in the NHL this season.
Secondary scoring threat in Beantown
Boston's top line receives most of the fantasy attention, but Bruce Cassidy looks to have unlocked some secondary scoring potential by pairing Jake DeBrusk with Ryan Spooner and Anders Bjork with David Krejci sidelined. DeBrusk was selected 14th overall in the 2015 NHL Draft and it's already easy to see why as he's poured in seven goals and ten assists in just 27 games at the NHL level. He erupted for a goal and two assists against Columbus last night and looked quite dangerous on the wing of Boston's second power-play unit. With a matchup awaiting him against the Eastern Conference worst Buffalo Sabres this evening, he should easily pay off his bargain asking price.
Second Line Value
If you're looking for value from a line stack tonight, consider taking Boston's second line which features David Krejci, Anders Bjork, and Jake DeBrusk. With eight points in his first five home games this season, Krejci and the second line draw a juicy matchup against the league's worst team in Arizona who have allowed the second most shot attempts and scoring chances on the road this season. Not required to play the "tough" minutes against the opposition's top scoring threats, Krejci should have no problems paying off his reasonable salary with the amount of offensive zone faceoffs he receives on home ice.
Baby Bruin making most of his time
Jake DeBrusk has injected some life into the Bruins as he has now gathered 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists) in 20 games. After serving as a healthy scratch, DeBrusk has really come alive over his past five contests as he has taken 18 shots on goal in route to a pair of goals and four helpers. Jake and the Bruins will not be intimidated by a leaky Oiler defense. Across the industry, DeBrusk's salary is in the basement. Take advantage while he is still sizzling.
