James van Riemsdyk Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

This centre is one of very few bright spots for this team this season.

Claude Giroux is the only player on the Philadelphia Flyers to eclipse 50 points before the All-Star break. In fact, he's the only player to even put up 40 points in the teams first 48 games as Sean Couturier's 39 points in 46 games sits second on the team. Giroux is also firing the most shots which will give him a solid floor, averaging just under three shots per game. He's centering the top line with James Van Riemsdyk on the left and Travis Konecny on the right. JVR joins him on the top power play unit while Konecny is separated from these two as he plays on the second power play unit. The Flyers take on the Winnipeg Jets who will have the stunningly good backup Laurent Brossoit. Brossoit struggled before coming to Winnipeg, so the Flyers are hoping that is the goalie that shows up tonight. However, this line should be underowned in tournaments considering how well Brossoit has played.

Flyer forward has a goal in three consecutive games

The Philadelphia Flyers may be an awful team, but James van Riemsdyk has come alive over the last week. During his last three games, JVR has five goals and two assists as his ice time has climbed. Last time out JVR had a hat trick against Minnesota and logged a season-high in ice time (20:14). The matchup with Boston is not ideal, but the Flyers are home and JVR's price across the industry, particularly on DraftKings ($4,500) is noteworthy given the general lack of salary relief options on a night where not grabbing someone like Nathan MacKinnon could be punishing.

Once again, this top centre is leading his team in pointss.

This is a recording. Claude Giroux is once again leading his team in points with 44 in 38 games with the second most in the team being just 30. He's playing with James Van Riemsdyk and Travis Konecny as the Philadelphia Flyers visit the Nashville Predators in a game in which both teams are on a back to back. Unfortunately neither winger plays on the power play with Giroux so he could be an interesting one-off play if you don't want to stack the entire line.

Philadelphia winger makes for low-owned tournament option

James van Riemsdyk has been bumped to the top line alongside Claude Giroux who has moved back to center, at least for the time being. Van Riemsdyk's first run alongside Giroux was successful on Saturday as JVR potted a goal and an assist. The inconsistent Flyers were pounded the following afternoon in Winnipeg and James did not find the scoresheet. His price is particularly too cheap on DraftKings at just $3,800. The matchup is not the greatest, but van Riemsdyk still has multi-point upside. On a short four game slate, taking a chance on him in tournaments is worthwhile.

Target This Team's Scoring Depth On Home Ice

If you're looking to differentiate your lineup without fading Toronto with a great matchup at home, consider Toronto’s third line featuring playmakers Tyler Bozak, Connor Brown, and James van Riemsdyk. With a combined 25 points over their last 10 games, look for this line to stay hot against a weak Buffalo team that lacks the depth to slow down Toronto's scoring depth. Also featured on Toronto's top power play unit, Bozak and JVR should get plenty of quality chances on the man advantage tonight against a Buffalo team that ranks 23rd in penalty kill percentage this season and has allowed six power play goals in as games entering tonight.

This winger continues to produce in limited ice time

James van Riemsdyk averages just 14:54 of ice-time this season. However, he has scored 34 goals with a long-shot at making it to 40. He is playing alongside Tyler Bozak and Connor Brown at even strength, while playing on a power play unit with Bozak, Nazem Kadri, Mitch Marner and Morgan Reilly. Over their last 10 games, the Toronto Maple Leafs have a 33.7 SCF/60 which is second in the NHL 62.14 CF/60 which is eighth in the NHL. The Leafs are on home ice where they have been dominant this season and although they have a tough matchup against the Florida Panthers, JVR is a threat to score every game especially with his elite power play presence.

Target This Red Hot Line

If you're looking to differentiate your lineup without fading Toronto with a great matchup at home, consider Toronto's third line featuring playmakers Tyler Bozak, Connor Brown, and James van Riemsdyk. With a combined 22 points over their last 10 games, look for this line to stay hot tonight against a weak Buffalo team that lacks the depth to slow down Toronto's scoring depth. Also featured on Toronto's top power play unit, Bozak and JVR should get plenty of quality chances on the man advantage tonight against a Buffalo team that ranks 23rd in penalty kill percentage this season and has allowed three power play goals in as many games.

Depth Scoring In Potential Shooutout

If you're looking to differentiate your lineup without fading Toronto with a great matchup at home, consider Toronto's third line featuring playmakers Tyler Bozak, Connor Brown, and James van Riemsdyk. With a combined 17 points over their last 10 games, look for this line to stay hot tonight against a Panthers team that lacks the depth to slow down Toronto's scoring depth. Also featured on Toronto's top power play unit, Bozak and JVR should get plenty of quality chances on the man advantage tonight against a Florida team that ranks 22nd in penalty kill percentage this season and has allowed four power play goals over their past three games.

This free agent to-be is in a prime spot tonight

The Toronto Maple Leafs most productive player with the man advantage is James van Riemsdyk wirh 13 power play points. Not only that, he is second on the team with 19 goals and fifth with 30 points in 50 games. The Leafs sport the eighth best power play, converting on 21 percent of their opportunities. This is a great spot for their PP as the Philadelphia Flyers currently have one of the worst penalty kills, as they succeed in killing off just 75.3 percent of their penalties which is the fourth worst in the NHL. JvR has been lining up with Tyler Bozak and Connor Brown for the last couple games which is a sneaky line stack and one that will go severely underowned even on this short slate. While Bozak and JvR are on the PP together, Brown sees no time with the man advantage. This full stack is a great contrarian play despite being in a fantastic spot. JvR also makes for a great one-off play.

Target This Line's Power Play Potential

If you're looking to differentiate your lineup tonight, Toronto's third line featuring playmakers Tyler Bozak, Mitch Marner, and James van Riemsdyk could fly under the radar in tournaments. Still logging plenty of ice time with marginal results, look for this line to breakout tonight against a Philadelphia team that lacks the depth to slow down Toronto's scoring depth. Also featured on Toronto's top power play unit, Bozak, JVR, and Marner should get plenty of quality chances on the man advantage tonight against an undisciplined Flyers team that ranks 29th in penalty kill percentage this season.
