Jamie Lovemark Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Jamie Lovemark returns to action after a long layoff

Playing through injury is something that Jamie Lovemark knows all too well. This very talented golfer has missed more than his fair share of time with a slew of broken-down body parts. Lovemarks' latest injury ( bum shoulder) kept him out of golf for some 28 weeks. Playing in only his fourth start of the 2019 calendar year, Lovemark will look to get back into the competitive grove at this week's Military Tribute at The Greenbrier. The long layoff will make it easy for many in The DFS community to take a wait and see approach on Lovemark. Priced only 300 away from the cheapest golfer in the field, Lovemark at low projected ownership has GPP appeal for the week. Despite the layoff, Lovemark has plenty of experience on Tour, and with 3 made cuts in 4 appearances at The Greenbrier, we can definitely make a case for this play in large field GPP's. It's worth noting that Lovemark has a T26 and 3rd place showing in his last two starts at The Greenbrier.

DraftKings projections are live and Jamie Lovemark ranks as a top play

These first few limited event tournaments are big for everyone on Tour. Play well to start the year and you can really get a jump start on making a deep run at the FedEx Cup race. Jamie Lovemark heads into this week trying to find a game that left him for the better part of last season. Priced down to recent poor play, Lovemark's talent, and ball striking ability have near the top in our DraftKings rankings in $/Pt/k for this week's CJ Cup. Looking to build on his solid 5th place finish from last year's event, Lovemark at a discount stands out as a player worth taking a chance on in GPP's. Regarded in many circles as one of the better players yet to win on The PGA Tour, Lovemark has only posted one top 10 since February of last season. Like many other players in this field, Lovemark knows what a good week at The CJ Cup can do for a season and should be motivated to play well this week.

Loving a Non-Winner

He didn’t peg it last week so he’s fresh. He also arrives with cuts made in 13 of his last 14 starts. He ranks 10th in this week’s field in terms of strokes gained tee-to-green (L36 and L50 rounds). On top of his consistent play, he’s also a good fit at this course that features easy par 5s. IF we look at his nine best finishes on TOUR, four of them have come on courses where the eagle rate is inside the top 10 of all PGA TOUR courses. Glen Abbey also fits that bill. Looking recently, he’s beat the field average on par 5s in 10 of his last 12 starts. He also has winning pedigree on the Web Tour so it wouldn’t be a shock to see him finally grab a win.

Jamie Lovemark provides high upside at low ownership

The Wednesday update for DraftKings ownership projections are live and Jamie Lovemark stands out as a potential great tournament play this week. Currently ranked inside the top 100 in the world, Lovemark is on the verge of taking his career to the next level. Regarded in many circles as a great talent, Lovemark has overcome injuries to post back to back seasons inside the top 70 in the final FedEx Cup standings. Lovemark has many of the skills needed to play well this week. With decent stats rankings in both strokes gained off the tee and strokes gained to the green, Lovemark could be a force if he gets a few more putts to drop this week. At $8,100 Lovemark is trending towards one of the lowest owned players in this week's field, and make for a great pivot play in tournaments. Lovemark has back to back top ten finishes in his last two Sony Open apperances.

Middle tier priced value with upside

The wrap around season can often produce a first-time winner. Last week we saw the third first time winner of the season, and I would not be surprised if this week makes for the 4th of the year and the third in a row. Jamie Lovemark is slowly creeping up in the rankings of best player yet to win on The PGA Tour. In his last two seasons on tour ( 57 starts), Lovemark has amassed 18 top 25 finishes. With 9 top ten finishes, Lovemark is in the right direction of getting closer to the winner's circle. Currently ranked 48th in the FedEx Cup standings, Lovemark already has one top 5 finish this season and heads into this event with very favorable course history. Lovemark is 24 under par in his eight rounds of golf played at The RSM Classic. After missing the cut at last week's OHL classic, Lovemark's back to back top ten's in this week's event could go a bit overlooked. While I don't expect recency basis to sway a strong ownership percentage away from Lovemark, had he played well last week then you could definitely expect higher ownership for this event. The combination of talent and price makes Lovemark a great play in almost any format for this week. Lovemark is a player that should win sooner than later, and I definitely want to be late to the party.

Jamie Lovemark continues to gain steam

In a week in which it has become increasingly hard to find trustworthy names in decent pricing spots, Jamie Lovemark has emerged as a very popular play for The Safeway Open. Over the last two seasons on The PGA Tour, Lovemark has amassed over 3.8 million and earnings. Still searching for his first PGA Tour win, Lovemark does have a great track record of finishing inside the top 25. Over his last 45 starts, Lovemark has 18 top 25 or better finishes. Like many other players in this week's field, Lovemark hopes to take advantage of what appears to be a weaker than normal field. Midweek ownership projections show an already popular Lovemark trending towards an even higher ownership. With all of the tools needed to play well at a course like Silverado CC, Lovemark ranks as an excellent play for this week's Safeway Open. With the ability to make birdies in bunches, Lovemark is the type of player that can easily pay off his DK salary without a high finish.

Field Update for the FedEx St. Jude Classic

An already depleted field just got a little weaker on Tuesday morning. As expected a few participants from yesterday's U.S. Open sectional qualifier have withdrawn from this week's tournament. Steve Striker, Keegan Bradley, Jamie Lovemark, Kelly Kraft and C.T. Pan have all been removed from this week's field.
