Jesperi Kotkaniemi Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
This 18-year-old has had a respectable rookie season.
In just 13:51 minutes of ice-time per game, Jesperi Kotkaniemi has managed to put up 11 goals and 33 points in his rookie season. He's centering the "third" line tonight with Jonathan Drouin and Joel Armia flanking him. This line is surprisingly intriguing as they've played together the same power play unit as well for the last few games. Giving a line that is this cheap full-game correlation in a solid matchup is very interesting. The Montreal Canadiens host the Florida Panthers who allowed 7 goals last night against the Toronto Maple Leafs. A back-to-back for the Panthers in which there was a goalie switch — albeit very early into the game — games for an interesting matchup.
Montreal rookie looking for first goal of season
With a handful of stars who can break the slate tonight, such as Tyler Seguin, Auston Matthews and John Tavares, looking for salary relief is necessary. Enter rookie Jesperi Kotkaniemi who has yet to do much, finding just a point on opening night. Jesperi logged a season-low 11 minutes last game, but there's reason to be optimistic tonight. Jesperi took 10 shots on goal in his first three games and might get a bit more run here, especially on the power play with Andrew Shaw doubtful. Jesper checks in at the near-minimum on both sites (DraftKings - $3,600, FanDuel - $3,200), and makes for a shot-in-the-dark tournament play.
