Johnny O'Bryant Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Frank Kaminsky (shoulder) questionable for Monday; Johnny O'Bryant remains out

Kaminsky is officially considered questionable for tomorrow's game against the Chicago Bulls due to a sprained left shoulder that has forced him to miss five consecutive games. Regardless of Kaminsky's availability, Cody Zeller is expected to remain the starting center alongside Marvin Williams at the power forward spot. The potential return of Kaminsky would be a significant hit to the projected fantasy value of Williams, as he has seen his minute floor raised substantially with how shorthanded Charlotte has been in the frontcourt. Additionally, JOhnny O'Bryant will remain sidelined with a sprained right ankle, meaning that the Hornets' shortage of big men would continue should Kaminsky be ruled out on Monday.

Nicolas Batum (left ankle sprain) probable for Friday; Johnny O'Bryant (right ankle sprain) ruled out

Nicolas Batum suffered a mild ankle sprain against Miami on Wednesday and was only able to play 31 minutes. Batum is being listed as probable for Friday's game against Orlando. If Batum is limited or ruled out tomorrow, Jeremy Lamb will likely jump into his role. Johnny O'Bryant also suffered an ankle sprain last night and has already been ruled out of Friday's tilt. The Hornets are hopeful that Frank Kaminsky will rejoin them after missing a couple games due to a shoulder injury. If Kaminsky and O'Byrant are out, Cody Zeller will be logging major minutes with Miles Plumlee also on the shelf.

Johnny O'Bryant has signed a 10-day contract with the Hornets

Johnny O'Bryant was signed by the Hornets to a 10-day contract today. Since Miles Plumlee and Cody Zeller are dealing with injuries, O'Bryant is likely being signed as an emergency player. Frank Kaminsky, Marvin Williams, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist have all been logging over 30 minutes for the past few weeks and will likely continue that trend moving forward. Kaminsky looks like the player with the highest floor while MKG is the most volatile.

Tyler Ennis to start over Johnny O'Bryant on Friday

Ennis will start for the Bucks tonight but is an extremely low-end option. The Celtics have been tough defensively against guards all season and tonight should not be any different. Johnny O'Bryant is not a viable option off the bench.

Johnny O'Bryant to start on Tuesday; Damien Inglis to the bench

Johnny O'Bryant will start at PF with Khris Middleton out of the lineup. Damien Inglis failed to make an impact in his last start and will return to the bench. Johnny O'Bryant is a risky fantasy option even with the starting nod. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker continue to be the elite options for the Bucks on Tuesday. The Cavs mentioned that LeBron James will start off guarding Antetokounmpo, likely putting Parker in a better spot against J.R. Smith.

John Henson (back) cleared to play on Tuesday

John Henson will be on the active roster tonight after missing 20 games with a back injury. His minutes will likely be limited if he plays at all. With Henson in the lineup, Miles Plumlee and Johnny O'Bryant could see a dip in their minutes.

John Henson out again tonight, Johnny O'Bryant likely out as well

John Henson will be out again with a sore back and Johnny O'Bryant is unlikely to play due to the birth of his child. With Henson and Bryant out, look for Miles Plumlee to get some extra minutes tonight. Plumlee played 19 minutes last night and was able to exceed value on his salary. At a minimum salary Plumlee is a solid punt play and deserves consideration against the Heat tonight.

John Henson (back) out on Thursday

Henson has been ruled out against the Grizzlies with a sore lower back. Johnny O'Bryant will likely see some minutes behind Greg Monroe. Bryant is not a DFS option even if he is able to secure over 16 minutes. Bryant has not scored in double figure in over two months and should be left off rosters on Thursday.

John Henson available to play tonight

The Bucks have listed John Henson as available to play tonight, but he is still a tough DFS option to recommend. Henson is struggling with elbow and back injuries and is best left off your roster. Look for Miles Plumlee and Johnny O'Bryant to get the backup big man minutes tonight.

Johnny O'Bryant to start, Copeland off the bench

With Giannis Antetokounmpo back in the Bucks lineup, they want to go with a bigger option at PF. O'Bryant saw some starts last season and wasn't DFS relevant at that point either, as he's not expected to crack 20 minutes in a crowded Bucks rotation. Copeland did not play well in the season opener as the starter, and he's not a DFS option off the bench.
