The big inactive for the Lions this week is Kenny Golladay, a major weapon in their offense. Marvin Jones should see all the targets he can handle Sunday.
Marlon Mack (Hand) Ruled Out for Sunday vs Titans
Not surprisingly, Marlon Mack was ruled out for Sunday vs the Titans. He had surgery on his hand last week and remains out indefinitely. Mack will try to return this season, but Jonathan Williams and Nyheim Hines will continue to benefit from increased run in the meantime.
Jordan Wilkins (Ankle) No Injury Designation Thursday Night; Parris Campbell (Hand) Ruled Out
Wilkins is cleared to play after missing one game, going into Thursday night without an injury designation. There are significantly more carries available now that Marlon Mack is out. However, Wilkins has to compete with Jonathan Williams for carries while Nyheim Hines is expected to get most of the RB targets.
Marlon Mack (Fractured Hand) Undergoes Surgery, Out Indefinitely but Expected to Return this Season
Mack is out indefinitely after surgery for his fractured right hand. He has been ruled out for Thursday night's game and is likely to miss a couple more games. Jonathan Williams and Jordan Wilkins (when healthy) will receive most of the carries, while Hines will continue to get work catching passes.

Mack suffered a fractured hand Sunday and will miss at least one game. Jonathan Williams performed well filling in for Mack, rushing for 116 yards on 13 carries and catching a 31-yard pass. Nyheim Hines will remain involved in the passing game, but it isn't clear how many additional carries he may get. Jordan Wilkins should also get carries once he is healthy.
Jonathan Williams cut by Saints
In a very surprising move, the Saints have cut Rb Jonathan Williams. He was slated to be the #2 Rb behind Alvin Kamara heading into the season, while Mark Ingram serves a four-game suspension to start the season. Shane Vereen was placed in IR by the Saints yesterday, leaving only 3 active Rbs for Week 1. Now, it's down to 2, and it's 6th round draft pick Boston Scott left in the backfield with Kamara for the first quarter of the season. Kamara's DFS value just went up even higher.

The New Orleans Saints have just placed Rb Shane Vereen on IR, leaving Alvin Kamara and Jonathan Williams as their two primary running backs heading into Week 1, with Mark Ingram serving a four-game suspension. Vereen is a pass catching specialist and his absence will most likely leave Kamara and Williams with extra touches in the passing game.
