Jordan Eberle Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Look for this stack to turn scoring chances into goals
It seems like the New York Islanders have disappointed us all season long. I can’t overlook them in a matchup here against a Buffalo team that has been in a complete tailspin. Buffalo has given up 3.11 GA/60 in the month of March. Mathew Barzal, Jordan Eberle, and Anders Lee are my go to stack in this game. The Islanders have generated 13.07 HDCF/60 in the month of March, which is very encouraging. Devon Toews is a great salary saver on defense and playing on the top power-play unit.
This center has a premium matchup this evening
Has everybody seen what is going on in Ottawa? After trading away three of their best forwards, they've been even worse defensively than they were before. Already as the worst defensive team in the league, the Ottawa Senators have allowed 24 goals over their last 5 games including 5 against these same New York Islanders on Tuesday night. As these two teams complete their home-and-home series, the Islanders top line is a focus for us. Brock Nelson is centering Anders Lee and Jordan Eberle — a trio of UFA's this summer. Nelson leads the team in points since Feb 1st and should have no problem continuing that trend against the lowly Ottawa Senators.
This winger has an interesting matchup against a struggling goaltender
*edit* and it turns out right after I finish writing this, Mike Smith is announced the starter. Adjust accordingly. --- "Big Save Dave" Rittich is likely in net for the Calgary Flames tonight and he has struggled as of late. Despite a 6-1-3 record over his last 10 games, he has a putrid 3.33 goals against average and a .887 save percentage. Additionally, the Flames have allowed a 58.95 CA/60 — 11th most in the NHL over the last month. Anders Lee leads the New York Islanders with 19 goals and in shots with 145. He sits third in points with 39 in 58 games, just ahead of linemate Brock Nelson's 37 and linemate Jordan Eberle's 26 in 54 games. This trio also remain in tact on the top power play unit with superstar Mathew Barzal, this gives them full-game correlation and high upside on a short, four game slate.
Metropolitan forward takes on team that traded him away for peanuts
It is plausible that Jordan Eberle would love to do nothing more than stick it to the Oilers. Much is talked about the Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson trade (debacle?), but the Ryan Strome for Jordan Eberle trade is not that far behind it. Though Eberle has not really produced much this season as he is averaging under 0.50 points per game, a matchup with Edmonton's porous penalty kill is mouth-watering. Furthermore, the Oilers played last night and this is not a team with much depth. The Islanders' scoring is relatively spread out, but Eberle sees top power play minutes and has the narrative working in his favor. The best part is he does not cost an arm and a leg. He's an excellent target in tournaments.
Islanders winger looks for similar fortune in rematch
Mathew Barzal was recommended on Tuesday, and he rewarded those who took a chance as he found a pair of assists along with setting a season-high of three shots on goal. Linemate Jordan Eberle is the one who potted the pair of goals, and again we have the same matchup tonight against a generous Penguins' defense, sporting an Eastern Conference-worst 2.76 xGA/60 at 5v5, which is expected to get Kris Letang back tonight. This is a bounce back spot for the Penguins, but Eberle is still too cheap on DraftKings ($4,200), making him a viable option in all formats, while his price on FanDuel ($5,300) is fine for tournaments. Last season on home ice, Eberle posted 33 points in 40 games.
The top line for the New York Islanders should be underowned in a great matchup.
Mathew Barzal has a very quiet seven points in seven games to start the season, though just one goal and seven shots are not ideal. He's playing with Jordan Eberle and the pointless Anthony Beauvillier. They are taking on the Florida Panthers, a team that is allowing four goals against per game — the third worst mark in the NHL. With the Islanders on home ice getting a slight boost, it is Barzal and Eberle that stand out a bit more as they play on the top power play unit together. Though, Beauvillier is very cheap at just $3,500 so even though he's pointless, he is a cheap third-wheel to include in your full-line stack at a discount. He has the talent to really bounce back from this slow start and you want to be on him the game he does so, not the game after.
Pivot To This Second Line In GPPs
If you're looking to differentiate your lineup without fading the Islanders in a great matchup, consider taking the second line which features rookie standout Mathew Barzal, Jordan Eberle, and Anthony Beauvillier. They draw a juicy matchup at home against a hapless Rangers squad that has allowed the most high danger scoring chances among road teams over their past 25 games. This bodes well for the second line of the Islanders, who enter tonight's game with a combined 32 points over their last 10 games, which includes a whopping 19 points in just three previous meeting against their cross town rivals.
Affordable winger could be in for big game against Blackhawks
Goals should not be hard to come by tonight at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, New York. Jordan Eberle may not skate on the team's top power play unit, but he does skate on the second line with Mathew Barzal who has been dynamite this season. Last time these two teams met, Eberle took eight shots on goal and potted a goal as the Islanders pasted the Blackhawks 7-3 in Chicago. Eberle has been fantastic this month, tallying eight points in nine games and is fresh off a three assist night. The Islanders' top line is certainly one of the top stacks of the night, but the often overlooked second line could be in for another massive game. The best part about them is they are all affordable. Chicago has allowed three or more goals in 12 consecutive road games, and it is hard to imagine a scenario where that does not continue tonight. This could be another ceiling-type game for the smooth-skating Jordan Eberle.
Scoring Depth In Potential Shootout
If you're looking to differentiate your lineup without fading the Islanders in a great matchup, consider taking the second line which features rookie standout Mathew Barzal, Jordan Eberle, and Andrew Ladd. They draw a juicy matchup at home against a struggling Washington team that has allowed the most high danger scoring chances among road teams over their past 25 games. This bodes well for the second line of the Islanders, who have generated the most high danger scoring chances on home ice over their past 25 games, setting the stage for a monster performance in what should ultimately be the highest scoring game of the night.
Target This Talented Rookie In A High Scoring Game
If you're looking to differentiate your lineup without fading the Islanders in a great matchup, consider taking the second line which features rookie standout Mathew Barzal, Jordan Eberle, and Anthony Beauvillier. They draw a juicy matchup at home against a depleted Rangers defense that will be without their top two defensemen for tonight's game and have allowed the most shot attempts and the second most scoring chances among road teams on the slate. This bodes well for the second line of the Islanders, who have combined for a whopping 14 points in two previous meetings against the Rangers, setting the stage for a monster performance in what should ultimately be the highest scoring game of the night.
