Justin Hamilton Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Spencer Dinwiddie and Justin Hamilton will start in place of Jeremy Lin (rest) and Brook Lopez (rest) tonight

Dinwiddie and Hamilton will be inserted into the Nets starting lineup for tonight's game against the Chicago Bulls in place of the resting Jeremy Lin and Brook Lopez. They'll join Sean Kilpatrick, Quincy Acy, Trevor Booker, and Joe Harris among the unavailable Brooklyn players this evening. With Acy and Kilpatrick sidelined last game, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson was the beneficiary 37 minutes and posted up a double-double (17 points, 11 rebounds), whileCaris LeVert saw 28 minutes of action on the wing. All of Brooklyn young guns are in play tonight, but Hollis-Jefferson looks to be the strongest option among them all.

Isaiah Whitehead (shoulder) questionable tonight; Justin Hamilton (illness) probable

Whitehead has been listed as questionable for tonight's game against the Portland Trail Blazers due to a sprained left shoulder, while Justin Hamilton has been upgraded to probable with an illness. With Joe Harris already ruled out for tonight's contest, the Nets will certainly have some minutes available on the wing and possibly in the backcourt should Whitehead be unable to suit up. If that is indeed the case, Spencer Dinwiddie looks to be in line for a substantial minutes increase, as he would be needed to carry the load at point guard with Jeremy Lin still working his way back from his injury. Harris has been consistently seeing minutes in the low-20s, and in his absence, K.J. McDaniels will likely shoulder a majority of the vacated playing time on the wing while Sean Kilpatrick seems to be in line for some additional usage with the second unit. The Nets rotation is always difficult to peg down but Kilpatrick could be worth a look in tournaments for near-minimum price across the industry.

Justin Hamilton (illness) ruled out tonight

Hamilton will not play in tonight's game against the Utah Jazz due to an illness despite never appearing on the Nets' injury report at any point during the day. Hamilton has consistently seen minutes in the mid-teens, so his absence from the rotation will not have a huge effect on the rest of the Nets rotation, though there may be a few extra minutes available for Trevor Booker and even Brook Lopez if this game manages to stay respectable.

Quincy Acy and Jeremy Lin will remain out for Brooklyn on Friday

Acy has missed the last two games (Lin has been out for a longer period of time) and will not play on Friday for Brooklyn. He's not a big part of the Nets rotation but it should mean a few extra minutes for Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Justin Hamilton.

Justin Hamilton starting for Brook Lopez (rest) tonight

Lopez and LeVert will both be rested and won't play in tonight's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. With Trevor Booker already ruled out due to an illness, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will draw the start at power forward alongside Justin Hamilton in the Brooklyn frontcourt. A legitimate case can be made for nearly every single active Nets player on this slate, but they are all better reserved for tournaments given the unpredictability of the Nets' rotation and high probability of a blowout. This news has a greater impact on the big three of Cleveland, as they are now unlikely to see their full compliment of minutes and should be removed from cash game consideration entirely.

Trevor Booker OUT for Nets tonight

The Nets have ruled out their starting forward due to illness for their game against Cleveland tonight. It's hard to figure out who benefits the most from this news. Justin Hamilton will likely get the start but he was ineffective the last time he had this opportunity and it's a tough match up in a game that likely will see the Nets blown out. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Luis Scola, and Quincy Acy all stand to see more run in this situation with Hollis-Jefferson having the most upside and viability of that group.

Trevor Booker (illness) will not play Friday vs. the Cavs.

Justin Hamilton started in place of Booker last week, but scored just six points in 24 minutes in that start. Luis Scola and Quincy Acy should also see some extra minutes on Friday. This is a situation to avoid from a fantasy perspective.

Justin Hamilton (rest) ruled out tonight

Hamilton will be rested and won't play in tonight's game against the Charlotte Hornets. The Nets continue to rest players consistently, as their season has long been over in terms of winning. Trevor Booker will return to the starting lineup after being rested for Friday's tilt with the New Orleans Pelicans. Additionally, Sean Kilpatrick will start at shooting guard for the injured Joe Harris. Now that he's been confirmed in the starting lineup, Kilpatrick makes for an intriguing tournament option at shooting guard for an affordable price tag across the industry, though he still continues to compete for minutes with rookie Caris LeVert and Bojan Bogdanovic, limiting his ceiling in some regards.

Justin Hamilton starting for Trevor Booker (rest) tonight

Booker and Kilpatrick will both be rested and will not play in tonight's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Justin Hamilton will draw the start at power forward alongside Brook Lopez and is now certainly a viable option this evening. However, with Booker, Kilpatrick, and Jeremy Lin off the court this season, Bojan Bogdanovic actually leads the Nets starters with a positive 3.9% usage rate differential (27.3%). Bogdanovic can be extremely scoring reliant but is certainly worth a look in tournaments given New Orleans' struggles with opposing small forwards this season.

Justin Hamilton confirmed as starter for Brook Lopez (rest) tonight

Lopez will be rested and will not play in tonight's game against the Houston Rockets. The Nets have announced that Justin Hamilton will replace him in the starting lineup, as expected. Additionally, Isaiah Whitehead is available to play and will start after previously being listed as probable on the Nets' injury report. With Jeremy Lin still sidelined, Whitehead and Spencer Dinwiddie will continue to handle a majority of the point guard and ball handling responsibilities in the Brooklyn back court.

Justin Hamilton starting for Trevor Booker (rest) tonight

Hamilton will draw the start at power forward for tonight's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers in place of a resting Trevor Booker. This news is a buzzkill to the Anthony Bennett revenge narrative truthers (yes, their existence was shocking to me as well), but he was never realistically in play given the plethora of value at the power forward position this evening. With that said, it's also difficult to imagine Hamilton being a viable option, as he is essentially a poor man's version of Kevin Love and should give Love no problems on either end of the floor. Jeremy Lin remains the only realistic tournament play, if targeting a Brooklyn Net, though the back-to-back scenario is certainly worrisome considering the high probability of a blowout in a matchup with Cleveland.
