Kaden Smith Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

NYG WR Sterling Shepard and WR Kadarius Toney listed doubtful for Sunday; NYG TE Kyle Rudolph, WR John Ross, and FB Cullen Gillaspia listed questionable; TE Kaden Smith listed out

Sterling Shepard and Kadarius Toney have been listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins while Kyle Rudolph, John Ross, and Cullen Gillaspia have been listed questionable. With Shepard and Toney likely out it will be another week of Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton leading the receiving corps. Kyle Rudolph seems to be trending towards a return and should reclaim his role as the number two tight end behind Evan Engram. Kaden Smith is set to be placed on IR meaning the third tight end spot should be played by Chris Myarick who does not figure to be DFS relevant at this point.

NYG WR Sterling Shepard and TE Kyle Rudolph upgraded to limited practice Thursday; WR Kadarius Toney, WR John Ross, TE Kaden Smith and FB Cullen Gillaspia DNP

Sterling Shepard and Kyle Rudolph both were upgraded to limited practices on Thursday while Kadarius Toney, John Ross, Kaden Smith and Cullen Gillaspia all logged their second DNP of the week. This was a good sign for both Shepard and Rudolph who both seem to be trending in the right direction for Sunday's matchup with the Miami Dolphins. With Toney and Ross both trending in the wrong direction it could mean another heavy workload for Kenny Golladay, Shepard (if available), and Darius Slayton. If Rudolph is back he would back up Evan Engram and Smith's status would be irrelevant for DFS. Rudolph's return would cut into Engram's workload and would make him much less appealing to play in DFS contests.

NYG QB Daniel Jones limited Wednesday; WR Kadarius Toney, WR Sterling Shepard, WR John Ross, TE Kyle Rudolph, TE Kaden Smith, FB Cullen Gillaspia all DNP

Daniel Jones was limited in practice Wednesday while Kadarius Toney, Sterling Shepard, John Ross, Kyle Rudolph, Kaden Smith, and Cullen Gillaspia all logged DNPs ahead of the Giants matchup with the Miami Dolphins this Sunday. Jones was expected to be limited and is not expected to start this Sunday (but there is still a chance he could), Mike Glennon would draw the start. A large portion of the Giants pass-catchers are still banged up which could mean another expected heavy workload for Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton. If both Smith and Rudolph are unable to play again this weekend Evan Engram would be expected to play the large majority of snaps at tight end with Chris Myarick available to back him up. Engram would once again be a decent option due to his expected target share sans multiple receivers and tight ends. It will be important to monitor the Giants practice report throughout the week and the official injury report released on Friday with game designations as some potential value options could open up.

NYG WR Sterling Shepard, TE Kaden Smith, and FB Cullen Gillaspia listed out for Sunday; WR Kadarius Toney and TE Kyle Rudolph listed doubtful; RB Saquon Barkley and WR John Ross listed questionable

The Giants injury report is once again a long one for their game this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles and reads like this: Sterling Shepard, Kaden Smith, and Cullen Gillaspia listed out; Kadarius Toney and Kyle Rudolph listed doubtful; Saquon Barkley and John Ross listed questionable. With both Shepard and Toney likely out the receiving corps should be led by Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton making them both much better plays. With Smith and Rudolph out, Evan Engram should be the primary tight end for the Giants with recently signed Chris Myarick available to back him up. Saquon seems likely to be available but could be limited meaning more work for Devontae Booker. Until Barkley can prove that he can handle a workhorse role in the New York backfield, he can only be viewed as a riskier tournament option with limited upside.

NYG WR Sterling Shepard, WR Kadarius Toney, TE Kyle Rudolph, and TE Kaden Smith DNP Wednesday

Sterling Shepard, Kadarius Toney, Kyle Rudolph, and Kaden Smith all listed as DNPs Wednesday. It is still early in the week and especially after a game Monday it is not surprising to see this many players listed as DNPs. It will be important to see what progress is made by the players throughout the week. Shepard is trying to return from a hamstring injury and would slot back in as a top receiver for the Giants if he is able to suit up Sunday. Toney is expected to be fine but is taking an injury maintenance day. It will be important to check the injury designations of all the Giants on Friday when the full injury report is released for this weekend.

NYG RB Saquon Barkley officially active Monday; FB Cullen Gillaspia and TE Kaden Smith inactive

As expected, Saquon Barkley is officially active Monday to make his return against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Barkley is expected to lead the backfield Monday but could be somewhat limited as Coach Judge has stated he plans on splitting snaps between Barkley and Booker. Barkley still should be considered the top back but with his potential limitations and matchup against an extremely tough Buccaneers run defense it might be best to fade him. Cullen Gillaspia and Kaden Smith have been listed inactive but were not expected to play a major role Monday night, their absence should not be considered DFS relevant.

NYG WR Sterling Shepard ruled out; RB Saquon Barkley, RB Devontae Booker, RB Cullen Gillaspia, and TE Kaden Smith listed questionable for Monday

Sterling Shepard has been ruled out while Saquon Barkley, Devontae Booker,Cullen Gillaspia, and Kaden Smith have all been listed questionable for Monday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sterling Shepard is still working his way back from injury and will be unable to suit up Monday. Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, and Darius Slayton should all play bigger roles in the New York passing game with Shepard still sidelined. Kaden Smith is expected to serve as tight end depth behind Evan Engram and Kyle Rudolph so his status is not DFS relevant. Both Barkley and Booker look to be trending in the right direction to play Monday when Barkley would be expected to be the lead backfield with Booker serving as his back up. It will be important to check all players' statuses when inactives are released 90 mins prior to kickoff.

NYG WR Sterling Shepard DNP Friday; TE Kaden Smith returned to practice

Sterling Shepard logged another DNP Friday while Kaden Smith returned to practice ahead of Monday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Though Shepard logged a DNP he was seen by reporters doing individual drills which could mean he is close to returning. Shepard has one more day to log a practice before the official injury report comes out so it will be important to check his listed status then. Kaden Smith returned to practice and should be ready to return to his role as the third tight end behind Evan Engram and Kyle Rudolph.

NYG WR Sterling Shepard and TE Kaden Smith DNP Thursday; RB Saquon Barkley and RB Devontae Booker logged limited practice

Sterling Shepard and Kaden Smith logged DNPs Thursday while both Saquon Barkley and Devontae Booker logged limited practices ahead of Monday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sterling Shepard is still working his way back from injury and has a chance to play Monday but if he were to be unable to Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, and Darius Slayton could all play bigger roles in the New York passing game. Kaden Smith is expected to serve as tight end depth behind Evan Engram and Kyle Rudolph so his status is not DFS relevant. Both Barkley and Booker look to be trending in the right direction to play Monday when Barkley would be expected to be the lead back with Booker backing him up.

NYG WR Sterling Shepard and WR Dante Pettis DNP Thursday; WR Kenny Golladay, WR Kadarius Toney, WR John Ross, and TE Kaden Smith were all limited

Sterling Shepard and Dante Pettis logged DNPs Thursday while Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, John Ross, and Kaden Smith were all limited and seem on track to play Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. Shepard and Pettis seem doubtful at this point but the good news is that Golladay looks set to make his return and instantly take over the number one receiver spot for the Giants. Toney will likely be used as the second receiver with Darius Slayton as the third. The Giants receiving corps can't seem to get healthy all at the same time which offers value based on who is able to play that specific week. This week the main targets should be Golladay, Toney, and Slayton provided they are all available to play.
