Kapri Bibbs Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Packers claim RB Kapri Bibbs

Packers claim RB Kapri Bibbs off waivers, which seems like a decent indication that Aaron Jones is dealing with an injury that's going to require him to miss at least a little time. With only two games to go in the regular season, the Packers will likely lean heavily on Jamaal Williams with Bibbs being better suited to handle some passing down work. Williams is going to be a viable value target if Jones can't go, as Bibbs wouldn't figure to be a threat to his early down work and isn't likely to eat into the equation in the red-zone.

RB Chris Thompson (ribs) ruled out for Week 10

Adrian Peterson should lead the Redskins backfield again behind a battered Redskins offensive line. However, the team comes in as 3-point road underdogs against Tampa Bay which could potentially mean more passing down snaps for Kapri Bibbs if expected game flow comes to fruition. Even if it doesn’t, the Bucs have been far more susceptible to the pass than run this year with opposing teams resorting to the air early and often, perhaps making Bibbs a better play than Peterson considering price.

Chris Thompson (ribs) not practicing Thursday

Thompson appears doubtful again this week, leaving Adrian Peterson to lead the Redskins backfield behind a battered Redskins offensive line. However, the team comes in as 3-point road underdogs against Tampa Bay this week which could potentially mean more passing down snaps for Kapri Bibbs if expected game flow comes to fruition. Even if it doesn't, the Bucs have been far more susceptible to the pass than run this year with opposing team resorting to the air early and often.

Schefter Saturday Night Hammers: Chris Thompson, Jamison Crowder both expected to sit; Dalvin Cook expected to be limited to roughly half the offensive snaps

Chris Thompson and Jamison Crowder are both expected to sit Sunday against the Panthers. With Thompson out, Kapri Bibbs should pick up passing down duties and with Adrian Peterson banged up, it's possible he ends up earning a healthy share of the rushing work, especially if the Redskins are playing from behind. Crowder did not practice at all this week, and Josh Doctson/Paul Richardson are both banged up heading into Sunday. Maurice Harris could be in store for a fairly large role in the offense, setting him up to have some very solid PPR value especially considering his $3K salary on DraftKings. Harris can operate out of the slot and his ceiling would rise if any of the other Washington pass-catchers are ruled out on Sunday. Jordan Reed is a strong TE target across the industry while Bibbs also sets up as one of the premier value plays at RB on DraftKings.

Dalvin Cook is expected to be limited to roughly half the snaps, so he's going to be really tough to touch for DFS purposes. Latavius Murray, Roc Thomas and CJ Ham are candidates to see increased work, but none of them are recommended value targets at this point.

Semaje Perine active Sunday

Perine tweaked his groin during the early part of practice Thursday, and there was some concern that he would miss this game. With his team extremely thin at running back, Perine will suit and play despite his injury. The matchup is not great for the Redskins this week, but if Perine was to sit then Kapri Bibbs usage in the offense would add to his appeal as a cheap source of salary relief.

Samaje Perine heading towards a game time decision

Midweek injuries are never a good thing, and Samaje Perine's hurt groin has this thin Washington backfield trending towards being down another player in week 16. With the Redskins eliminated, there's little reason for Perine to risk further injury in a relatively meaningless game and it looks like the team could take an extended look at Kapri Bibbs. The Broncos have a tough run defense, but Bibbs provides appeal due to his low price and potential workload.

Samaje Perine not at practice on Friday

Perine was forced out practice early on Thursday with a groin injury and the team announced today that he will not practice on Friday. Coach Gruden hinted that the injury could be minor but he's uncertain about Perine's status for Sunday. Kapri Bibbs and LeShun Daniels would fill in if Perine is unavailable for Week 16.

Denver places Kapri Bibbs on IR

He was given a 2-4 week timeline to heal and the Broncos needed the roster spot for Justin Forsett. It's unfortunate as Bibbs had a shot to earn the starting job over a struggling Devontae Booker. With Bibbs done, it'll be Booker and Forsett going forward and neither have been particularly effective this season. It's a situation to monitor this week as Forsett should acclimate quickly as he played in Kubiak's offense back in 2014.

Kapri Bibbs dealing with ankle sprain, wearing walking boot Monday

Bibbs left the Broncos' game with the Jaguars yesterday after injuring his ankle. He had rushed for 49 yards on five carries before he was forced out. He should be considered doubtful for Week 14 as he's reportedly dealing with a high ankle sprain, which typically takes multiple weeks to heal. Devontae Booker will be the feature back for Denver, but he struggled against the Jaguars, only rushing for 35 yards on 18 carries (1.9 ypc). They face Tennessee in Week 14, who rank 14th against the rush. Booker will get the volume, but will have trouble being effective with his opportunities; he's averaging 3.5 ypc on the season, and he's running behind a poor offensive line.
