Keelan Cole Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
LVR WR Keelan Cole signed to the active roster. WR DJ Turner placed on the Reserve/Injured list.
Cole was involved regularly in preseason, but Davante Adams is going to keep a lot of pass catchers here far away from viability should he continue to earn targets at a mind-blowing pace.
NYJ WR Keelan Cole activated off COVID list
Keelan Cole has been activated off the COVID list and is expected to be available this Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. Cole should play a bigger role now with Corey Davis out for the season. Cole will likely slot in as the third receiver behind Elijah Moore and Jamison Crowder going forward. At this point it is still tough to trust most members of the New York Jets offense so Cole doesn't figure to be DFS relevant outside of a dart throw in large field GPPs.
NYJ WR Keelan Cole (COVID) ruled out for Sunday; WR Corey Davis (hip) DNP on Wednesday; WR Denzel Mims activated from COVID list
Corey Davis (hip) logged a DNP on Wednesday with a hip injury and is considered day to day at this point. Denzel Mims has been activated off the COVID list while Keelan Cole has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Cole was expected to play in the wide receiver four role behind Elijah Moore, Corey Davis, and Jamison Crowder. With Cole out, Denzel Mims and Braxton Berrios could see more opportunities though neither is expected to be DFS relevant this week. Davis is still working his way back from a hip injury he suffered last week in practice. If he were unable to play, Elijah Moore and Jamison Crowder would see an uptick in expected production and become better plays. It will be important to monitor Davis's practice participation going forward and ultimately his listing on the official injury report Friday.
NYJ WR Keelan Cole placed on COVID list
Keelan Cole has been placed on the COVID list meaning his status for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles is now in question. Regardless of vaccination status Cole is likely to miss this Sunday's game as cases of players being placed in the protocol and returning to play the same week are extremely rare. Cole was expected to play in the wide receiver four role behind Elijah Moore, Corey Davis, and Jamison Crowder. With Cole likely out, Denzel Mims and Braxton Berrios could see more opportunities though neither is expected to be DFS relevant this week.
NYJ WR Denzel Mims and Jamison Crowder inactive; WR Keelan Cole active
The biggest surprise of the morning comes from the Jets; Crowder was ruled inactive despite reports saying he'd play, while Mims was a healthy scratch and has fallen in the doghouse of the new coaching staff. Cole will be active and likely be the WR3 for the team, as Corey Davis is the WR1 and Elijah Moore the WR2. Moore's targets are certainly more secure now and may be a sneaky play.
NYJ WR Keelan Cole (knee) and WR Jamison Crowder (groin) listed questionable
The Jets WRs will be decided likely Sunday morning, as both Crowder and Cole are questionable. Cole missed the first game with a knee injury, while Crowder was on the COVID-19 list, but now picked up a groin injury. Coach Saleh has sounded optimistic about both of their availabilities, so it looks like they'll join Corey Davis and Elijiah Moore in a crowded WR room.
NYJ WR Keelan Cole, RB La'Mical Perine, RB Josh Adams inactive
Keelan Cole was considered a game-time decision coming into this game and will be unable to suit up for the Jets Sunday when they take on the Carolina Panthers. This makes Corey Davis and Elijah Moore even better plays as Cole joins Jamison Crowder as unavailable. Moore is an elite play and should be considered in all formats. Perine and Adams were not expected to see much if any run today as most of the rushing should be handled by Tevin Coleman, Michael Carter, and Ty Johnson.
NYJ WR Keelan Cole considered a true game-time decision for Sunday
Keelan Cole is considered a true game-time decision for Sunday after tweaking his knee in practice. The Jets are already down one wide receiver with Jamison Crowder on the COVID list and could be down one more if Cole is unable to go. Corey Davis and rookie Elijah Moore are set to be in for a big workload even with Cole in and if he were to miss this would just become larger, Denzel Mims could also see increased snaps and targets in the event of Cole missing. Moore is an elite play based on his expected volume and should be considered as a cash and tournament play regardless of if Cole is able to go.
WR Keelan Cole and RB La'Mical Perine listed as questionable for Jets; Jamison Crowder still on reserve/COVID-19 list
Keelan Cole and La'Mical Perine have been listed as questionable for the Jets while Jamison Crowder remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The Jets could be very thin at wide receiver if both Cole and Crowder are unable to suit up on Sunday. Elijah Moore stands to gain the most while he was already considered a good play on DK at 3K. Denzel Mims could enter the fold and be an interesting option to consider if both Cole and Crowder are ruled out. If La'Mical Perine is able to play he will likely be the 3rd or 4th running back behind Tevin Coleman, Michael Carter, and possibly Ty Johnson so his status shouldn't matter too much for DFS purposes.
D.J. Chark active Sunday
Chark is active Sunday, although there is some risk he is limited by his injury. He should still be the top passing option for the Jaguars, with Laviska Shenault and Keelan Cole behind him at WR.
