Kerryon Johnson Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

D'Andre Swift active Sunday, as expected

D'Andre Swift is active Sunday, as expected. That pushes Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson into the backup RB roles, limiting their upside.

D’Andre Swift inactive Sunday; Matthew Stafford active, as expected

D’Andre Swift is inactive Sunday, setting up Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson to split the RB work. Matthew Stafford was listed as questionable, but is active as expected.

D’Andre Swift downgraded to doubtful for Sunday

D’Andre Swift has been downgraded to doubtful for Sunday, meaning he will likely miss his third straight game. That means Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson will again share the Lions' backfield. The carries have leaned slightly towards Peterson the past two weeks, while Johnson is much more involved in the passing game.

Lions Activate RB Kerryon Johnson off of IR, Eligible to Play Tomorrow Against the Broncos

The second-year back has been activated off of Injured Reserve and is expected to play Sunday vs. the Broncos. With J.D. McKissic, Bo Scarbrough (questionable), Wes Hills, and Ty Johnson also potentially in the mix, this Lions' backfield is absolutely a mess to project. Based on the ambiguity of Johnson's snap count, he makes for an interesting large-field tournament play at near minimum salary on some sites and low projected ownership.

Bo Scarbrough (Ribs) Questionable for Sunday

Scarbrough is listed as questionable for Sunday. His role could be limited even if healthy, as Kerryon Johnson is eligible to return to action this week.

Bo Scarbrough (Ribs) Limited in Practice Wednesday

Scarbrough was limited Wednesday, a step towards playing Sunday. He was held out of the last game with a rib injury, giving Wes Hills a shot at being the lead back. Hills did score two TDs, but his 21 yards on 10 rush attempts and 1 yard on 2 catches were not overwhelming. Kerryon Johnson is expected to return to action this week and be involved at RB for the Lions, limiting all other RB's value.

Lions Promote Paul Perkins to Active Roster

The Lions have promoted Paul Perkins to their active roster. While Perkins is unlikely to be a factor in the offense, this move indicates that Ty Johnson and J.D. McKissic will get a chance at the RB touches while Kerryon Johnson is out.

Kerryon Johnson (Knee) Has Surgery, Going on Injured Reserve

Kerryon Johnson had knee surgery Tuesday and was placed on the injured reserve. The Lions hope he can return later in the season, but Ty Johnson will see an increased workload going forward.
