There are a lot of moving parts here for Ky Bowman, but it's setting up to be a spot where he could see a bigger role than we anticipate. The Warriors just gave Bowman a multi-year deal after trading away D'Angelo Russell for Andrew Wiggins, which is a good sign. One concern is that they did sign backup guards Zach Norvell and Jeremy Pargo so it's not like they are short on guards, but Norvell was on a 10-day contract and Pargo is a 33 year old journeyman. I fully expect Bowman to see the bulk of point guard minutes until Stephen Curry returns, which isn't anytime soon. Draymond Green is also questionable tonight, so if he should miss the game, that leaves the Warriors down another ball-handler. I think there are plenty of good value options tonight (ex: Terence Davis, Juancho Hernangomez, maybe Thon Maker if the Pistons are still down bodies), but Bowman is right up there for me depending on Green's status and whether Wiggins suits up tonight.

With Russell and Cauley-Stein out tonight, Ky Bowman should see an increase in minutes. The rookie guard has been back and forth from the NBA and G-League but has produced when given the opportunity. He is extremely cheap across the industry and should have no problem paying off this price point. I really hope he doesn't end up in the starting lineup because I could see him having a much higher usage with the second unit.

It's really hard to ignore any of the Warriors value plays but with D Russ out, Bowman will take up a ton of ball handling duties and is way too cheap. We have already seen him destroy in this situation and it's hard to argue with him once again. The Pelicans have a top 5 pace and bottom 5 defensive rating this season. Plain and simple load up on warriors.

We have already seen how capable of a fill-in Ky Bowman is earlier this season when D'Angelo Russell missed 3 consecutive games. During that 3-game stretch Bowman averaged over 37 minutes of playing time and 28.42 DK points / 27.1 FD points per game. Bowman's price tag dropped back to minimum price with Russell active and the site's failed to price him up after Russell's most recent injury that will cause him to miss at least a couple of weeks. Bowman is the top point-per-dollar option on Sunday's small 4-game slate and should be a building block of your lineups.

If you have played NBA DFS for more than a week, then you know the importance of monitoring injuries. When a player goes down, his backup and the rest of the team is forced to pick up the slack. It's a completely different situation with the Warriors, as they are playing without Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and D'Angelo Russell. Ky Bowman should draw another spot start and he fared well in the same situation on Saturday, scoring 35 fantasy points in 38 minutes of action. I tend to trust fill-in point guards over other positions because they have the ball in their hands more often. Often times, that's half the battle when it comes to fantasy production in the NBA.
