Le'Veon Bell Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

RB Le'Veon Bell released by Ravens Tuesday

Le'Veon Bell has been released by the Ravens Tuesday. It looks as though the Ravens will move forward with Devonta Freeman, Latavius Murray, and Ty'Son Williams splitting the work in the backfield. Freeman and Murray should be expected to see the bulk of the carries with Williams mixing in as well, though not playing nearly as many snaps. At this point, it is still best to avoid all members of the Ravens backfield due to the unreliable split of the work and Lamar Jackson's rushing ability. This remains true in a tougher matchup against the Chicago Bears defense who is 10th in fantasy points allowed to running backs. It remains to be seen if Le'Veon Bell will seek a new team at this point of the season.

BAL WR Rashod Bateman activated off IR to active roster; RB Le'Veon Bell elevated from practice squad for Sunday

As expected, Rashod Bateman has been activated off IR to the active roster and should debut this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. Bateman should fight for WR2 snaps due to the fact that Sammy Watkins has already been ruled out. Le'Veon Bell has been elevated from the practice squad likely meaning he will be active on Sunday. If he is, it is also likely one of the other 3 running backs will end up being a healthy scratch. Last time it was Ty'son Williams who has seen his role diminish over the past few weeks. Most people believe Williams is more skilled that Devonta Freeman at this point in his career so there is also the potential for Freeman to be the healthy scratch. At this point no member of the Ravens backfield is worth playing in DFS as their roles and snap counts have been so inconsistent.

BAL RB Le'Veon Bell remains on practice squad, won't play Monday

Bell was not promoted to the active roster Monday, and he'll stay on the practice squad and miss the game against the Indianapolis Colts. This likely means Ty'Son Williams will be active tonight; he was a healthy scratch last week. Williams will likely mix in with Latavius Murray, but should be projected behind him, while Devonta Freeman will likely be the third string back.

BAL RB Le'Veon Bell activated from practice squad

Le'Veon Bell has been activated from the practice squad and is expected to make his season debut for the Ravens on Sunday against the Denver Broncos. There are many questions surrounding the backfield for the Ravens now that they have four active running backs (Bell, Ty'Son Williams, Latavius Murray, and Devonta Freeman). It remains to be seen if Williams continues to be the lead back or if Murray or Bell supplants him. It also seems unlikely that the Ravens have all four backs active so Freeman most likely will be the odd man out. The Baltimore backfield looks to be a committee and an area to avoid in DFS for the time being.

Sammy Watkins, Le'Veon Bell inactive; Clyde Edwards-Helaire active tonight

Sammy Watkins and Le'Veon Bell are both inactive, as expected from earlier reports. Clyde Edwards-Helaire is active tonight, and will likely work as the top RB ahead of Darrel Williams.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire reportedly will play today, while Le'Veon Bell is expected to be out. Sammy Watkins is a game-time decision

Clyde Edwards-Helaire reportedly will play today, while Le'Veon Bell is expected to be out. That should mean Darrel Williams, who worked effectively last week as the top back, should get some of the RB work along with the returning Edwards-Helaire. Sammy Watkins is a game-time decision, although Adam Schefter also reported that the Chiefs aren't optimistic he will play. Ian Rapoport did not report that, and for now, he should still be considered a GTD, but his status must be confirmed when inactives are released.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire officially inactive today

Clyde Edwards-Helaire is officially inactive today, as expected based on earlier reports. Le'Veon Bell and Darrel Williams are likely to split the work, with Darwin Thompson the third RB. Williams got more work Week 16, the last game the Chiefs' starters played, while Bell got more work back in Week 13, the other game that Clyde Edwards-Helaire missed.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire reportedly will not play today

Clyde Edwards-Helaire reportedly will not play today, taking a step further the earlier reports that he was unlikely to play. His status should be confirmed when inactives are released 90 minutes before kickoff, but for now the assumption should be the Edwards-Helaire misses another week.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire reportedly unlikely to play

Clyde Edwards-Helaire is reportedly unlikely to play, which would be his third straight game missed, and would leave Le'Veon Bell and Darrel Williams as the top RB options for the Chiefs. The work is likely to be split fairly evenly, with Bell getting more work throughout the season, but Williams getting more work Week 16, the last game the Chiefs played their starters.

Le'Veon Bell, Travis Kelce both active today, actual role not known

Le'Veon Bell and Travis Kelce are both active today, but their actual roles are not known. The Chiefs are resting several other top offensive players, so risking Kelce or Bell seems foolish. Reports have already indicated a potentially very limited role for Bell, but nothing has been made clear on Kelce. Both players have the potential to score 0 today, so play them at your own risk.
