Injuries thrust this goaltender into a starting role, and he's flourishing
Although Malcolm Subban hasn't been quite as good since coming back from injury (understandably so), he has still been solid. On the season, he is 4-2-0 with a 2.24 goals against average and .924 save percentage, numbers that are even better on home ice at 2.11 and .929, albeit a small sample size. Tonight the Vegas Golden Knights host the Arizona Coyotes, a team with a 55.8 CF/60 which is the 10th worst in the NHL as well as averaging just 2.41 goals per game, the second lowest in the NHL. Subban may not see many shots to pad his save totals tonight, but he is in a great position to get a shutout which would help mitigate the lack of shots.
