Malik Taylor Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
GBP WR Malik Taylor ruled out for Saturday; TE Dominique Dafney listed questionable
Malik Taylor has been ruled out for Saturday's contest against the Cleveland Browns, while Dominique Dafney has been listed questionable. Taylor was not expected to play a major role on Saturday and his absence should not be DFS relevant even on a small slate. Dafney if active would serve as the third tight end behind Josiah Deguara and Marcedes Lewis and would also not figure to be DFS relevant.
GBP WR Marques Valdes-Scantling and WR Malik Taylor listed questionable for Sunday; WR Equanimeous St. Brown listed doubtful; TE Dominique Dafney listed out
Marques Valdes-Scantling and Malik Taylor have been listed questionable for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens, while Equanimeous St. Brown has been listed doubtful and Dominique Dafney has been listed out. St. Brown was not expected to play a major role this weekend. If he were to be officially ruled out, his snaps would likely be split between Amari Rodgers and Juwann Winfree, though neither would be DFS relevant. Dafney was also not expected to play a major role as the third tight end behind Josiah Deguara and Marcedes Lewis. His absence would not impact DFS players. MVS's absence would lead to Allen Lazard and possibly Amari Rodgers seeing more snaps and targets. Lazard would be the better DFS candidate.
GBP RB Aaron Jones and WR Allen Lazard listed questionable for Sunday; WR Malik Taylor listed out
Aaron Jones and Allen Lazard have been listed questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams while Malik Taylor has been ruled out. Taylor was not expected to play a major Role Sunday and his absence is not expected to be DFS relevant. Jones seems to be a true game-time call as the Packers could elect to just let him rest through their bye week in Week 13 though they might want to have him suit up in an important matchup that could decide playoff seeding. The same can likely be said for Lazard who the Packers would like to have healthy for a playoff run. If Jones is active Sunday he would likely be limited and split time with AJ Dillon hurting both of their values. If inactive, Dillon would become a much better play and would be one of the top value options on the slate even in a tough matchup. If lazard were to be ruled out Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Randall Cobb could play a larger role behind Davante Adams. It will be important to check inactives 90 minutes prior to kickoff as the running back situation for the Packers should be very important for DFS contests.
GBP QB Aaron Rodgers and WR Malik Taylor DNP Wednesday, RB Aaron Jones returned to practice in limited capacity
Aaron Rodgers and Malik Taylor logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. Rodgers stated that he has a broken toe but will tough it out until it can be evaluated after during the bye week in Week 13. Malik Taylor is expected to serve as receiver depth so his status this weekend does not figure to be DFS relevant. It is also important to note that Aaron Jones returned to practice in a limited capacity but the Packers have stated they will wait till Jones is 100% before they bring him back. It will be important to monitor the status of Jones as the week progresses as it seems like there might be a small possibility for his return this week.
GBP QB Aaron Rodgers will start Sunday; WR Allen Lazard listed doubtful; WR Malik Taylor listed out
Aaron Rodgers will start Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, however Allen Lazard has been listed doubtful and Malik Taylor has been listed out. As expected Aaron Rodgers will be fine this weekend despite dealing with a toe injury. With two receivers likely out for the Packers, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Randall Cobb will have to step up and play a larger role behind Davante Adams. Adams remains an elite play while MVS and Cobb will see increased value based on expected volume and can be considered as value options in most formats.
GBP QB Aaron Rodgers (toe), WR Allen Lazard (shoulder), and WR Malik Taylor (abdomen) DNP Thursday
GBP QB Aaron Rodgers, Allen Lazard, and Malik Taylor logged DNPs Thursday ahead of the Packers matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. Rodgers has been dealing with this toe injury for about a week now but it is unlikely to affect his status for Sunday. Lazard has been dealing with a shoulder issue and if he were to miss Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Randall Cobb could play a bigger role behind the dominating presence of Davante Adams. Cobb and MVS would both see an increase in value and could be considered as a part of Green Bay stacks. Malik Taylor is not expected to play much of a role on Sunday and his absence would not be DFS relevant.
GB WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling officially out Thursday; WR Malik Taylor activated off COVID-19 list and will play; WR Juwann Winfree elevated from practice squad; TE Dominique Dafney activated from IR
The Packers confirmed what was speculated earlier; MVS wasn't activated and won't play, Taylor was activated off the COVID 19 list, Winfree was elevated from the practice squad and will be active, and Dafney will join the team as a TE and should be active. Cobb will be the first WR, while Equanimeous St. Brown, Amari Rodgers, and Taylor will compete for the WR 2 and 3 after Cobb. Winfree likely is just a depth option, but additional 2 TE sets should be heavily expected, as Robert Tonyan will be a leading option, while Marcedes Lewis will get a few snaps as well. Aaron Jones should expect more receiving work as well.
GBP WR Malik Taylor activated from COVID-19 list
Malik Taylor has been activated from the COVID-19 list ahead of Green Bay's Thursday night matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. This news comes on the heels of Allen Lazard being added to the COVID list joining Davante Adams, but at least with Taylor returning the Packers will add some much needed depth at wide receiver. Taylor likely slots in behind Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Randall Cobb, Equanimeous St. Brown, and Amari Rodgers but there is no way to know if more news will break and more Packers will be added to the COVID list. At this point Taylor is no more than a dart throw punt option for the showdown slate.
GBP WR Malik Taylor placed on reserve/COVID list
Malik Taylor has been placed on the reserve/COVID list. Taylor is mostly a special teams player and his absence will not be DFS relevant when the Packers take on the Chicago Bears this Sunday
