Marc-Andre Fleury Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Goalie Has Been Unbeatable at Home

Marc-Andre Fleury (MAF) has been somewhat shaky on the road this year, but has been dominant at home in front of Vegas' raucous crowd. MAF has just four regulation losses in 22 starts at home and boasts a 2.13 GAA and .926 SV%. He'll face the Wild tonight and is the largest favorite on today's slate at -170. He's expensive, but he's by far the safest bet at the goalie position.

Goalie Nearly Unbeatable at Home

In their brief existence, the Vegas Knights have been one of the most dominant teams in the league while playing at home. Much of that can be attributed to the steady play from goalie Marc-Andre Fleury. "MAF" has only three regulation losses in 19 starts at home this year. He hasn't allowed more than two goals in any of his last four starts, all wins. He faces a reeling Rangers team tonight, and Vegas is listed as a heavy -260 favorite. He should coast to his fifth straight win.

Veteran goalie will be overlooked in mediocre matchup

It may surprise some, but Marc-Andre Fleury was better on the road (13-5-2, 2.11 GAA, .934 SV%) than at home last season (16-8-2, 2.36 GAA, .922 SV%). Fleury has been up and down to begin this season as prior to his 34 save shutout against the Hurricanes on Saturday, Fleury had allowed five goals in St. Louis. A matchup with the Leafs is not ideal, but prior to their five goal outburst against the Penguins, whose goaltending has been non-existant, the Leafs had scored just a goal in each of their previous two games, despite being at home in ideal matchups. Fleury checks in at a salivating $7,100 on DraftKings which really frees up roster construction.

Top Goalie Tonight

The Vegas Golden Knights are a huge favorite this evening, and the Arizona Coyotes have the lowest implied goal total on this four-game slate, which moves goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury to the top of my cash game goalie list. The Desert Dogs are much approved, but they still struggle to score goals (ranking 22nd overall in the National Hockey League in goals per game since the All-Star break), and I cannot see them doing much in the way of offensive damage tonight at the T-Mobile Arena. Fleury has been lights-out all season long for Vegas (2.12 GAA, .931 SV% and four shutouts), and I think we see another strong performance from him tonight on home ice.

Top Goalie Tonight

If you are playing cash games tonight and you are looking for the safest option in goal, Marc-Andre Fleury is your man. The Golden Knights meal ticket has been sensational between the pipes this year (2.20 GAA, along with a .929 SV%, and four shutouts), and he is fresh off a 42 save shutout against the Calgary Flames, and he should be worth every penny tonight at the T-Mobile Arena. The Vancouver Canucks have struggled terribly to both win games and score goals (30th overall in the National Hockey League in goals per game) on the road throughout the 2017-18 season, and they should continue to struggle with both of those this evening. Look for Fleury the cruise to an easy victory tonight, and do not be surprised if he ends up with his second consecutive shutout.

Marc-Andre Fleury is listed as probable

The Vegas Golden Knights are by far the biggest favorite on the board tonight as they host a much weaker Vancouver Canucks squad, which moves goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury to the top of our cash game wish list. The Canucks have struggled to score goals all season long (24th overall in the National Hockey League in goals per game), and I expect that to remain the case tonight at the T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights currently own the best home record in hockey right now (23-5-2), and I think we see Vegas and Fleury cruise to yet another victory this evening.

Sometimes you just need to take the biggest Vegas favorite in net

The Vegas Golden Knights are the largest Vegas favorite tonight and sometimes you need to suck up the price and pay for safety. While no team is ever a lock to win, The Golden Knights are the biggest favorite on the slate for a reason. With no other goalie really worth trusting tonight, Fleury makes for a great play. He has an elite 2.07 goals against average and .931 save percentage and should be able to shut down the Calgary Flames tonight. Calgary is a team that ranks 20th in goals for per game averaging 2.78 per game, while Vegas sits ninth in the NHL allowing just 2.68 goals against per game.

Marc-Andre Fleury is expected to play

While most people flock to Pekka Rinne tonight, I think Marc-Andre Fleury has just as much upside tonight. The Vegas Golden Knights are dominant on home ice, with a 22-4-2 record. Fleury continues to show that he's one of the elite goalies in the NHL and if not for his injury, he could be in the talk for the Vezina Trophy. He has put up a 2.06 goals against average and a .932 save percentage to go with a solid 19-6-2 record. The Anaheim Ducks are not the easiest opponent, but their offensive depth is not great and I could see Vegas dominating this game.

Target This Goalie's Upside

After a fantastic career in Pittsburgh, Fleury has a new home for the upstart Vegas Golden Knights, where he has been an integral part of his team's unbelievable start to the year. Entering tonight's game with a 17-6-2 record which includes a stellar .930 SV% this season, Fleury draws a sneaky good matchup against a struggling Blackhawks team that has lost six straight games entering tonight; averaging 1.6 goals per game despite regularly outshooting their opponents during that span. In a game that should play at a rapid pace, with plenty of shots exchanged between both teams, Fleury should have no problems paying off his manageable price tag if he's able to receive enough goal support to emerge with the victory.

He is not in Pittsburgh anymore, but he is still an elite goaltender

This is certainly a tough matchup for the Vegas Golden Knights as they head to Washington to take on the Capitals. However, Washington ranks ninth in goals per game at 3.06 so they are a bit down compared to the offensive juggernauts of years past. It is certainly still a difficult matchup, but with how dominant Fleury has been this season there is little concern that he can play great. In his first season out of Pittsburgh, Fleury has a 14-4-2 record with a 1.79 goals against average and a .942 save percentage to go along with two shutouts. It is a road game which can be tough, but Vegas has been great on the road as well so he should be able to put up a big score.
