Marques Colston Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Yeldon, Colston & Spiller inactive / Brees, Watson & Ellington active
As expected, T.J. Yeldon will miss the Week 16 match up against the Saints this afternoon. In what could be a shootout, Denard Robinson will function as the Jaguars' lead back. The Saints come into this game ranked #28 against the RB in DvP rankings. As reported earlier, Coston and C.J. Spiller will both be inactive for the Saints with Colston nursing a chest injury and Spiller as a healthy scratch. Brees will be active and starting and will have three of his top offensive weapons in Cooks, Snead and Benjamin Watson (knee) who is active for this Week 16 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Earlier on in the week, Cardinals' coach Bruce Arians told us Andre Ellington would be "good to go" against the Packers this week and he will operate as a change-of-pace option and will handle some carries behind starter David Johnson. The Cardinals' running game has been on fire lately and will be matched up against the Packers who come in ranked #10 vs. RB's in DvP rankings.
Marques Colston expected to miss Week 16
Marques Colston (chest) was listed as questionable all week and is not expected to be available when the Saints host the Jaguars. Colston has only had more than 5 targets once in his last 6 games, those extra targets may be distributed to Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead with Ben Watson (knee) also questionable. In a game that could become a shootout, the biggest question for the Saints is who their starting QB will be with Drew Brees battling a torn plantar fascia. Jacksonville comes in with DvP rankings of - 24th vs. QB's, 26th vs. RB's, 19th vs. WR's and 23rd vs. TE's. Meanwhile, the Saints posses possibly the worst defense in the entire NFL.
Willie Snead doubtful for Sunday
With Brandin Cooks expected to be shadowed by Josh Norman, Marques Colston and Ben Watson should be bumped up accordingly. Neither player is viable in cash games, but both hold considerable GPP appeal. Norman is arguably the league's top cover corner which should lead to a drop-off in targets for Cooks, and with Snead out those looks will presumably go towards Colston and Watson. Brandon Coleman is also likely to see an increased snap count, but he hasn't shown much since a few solid outings early in the season.
