Mathieu Perreault Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Dirt-cheap winger could see increased role

Jets' forward Jack Roslovic will be a game-time call tonight which could thrust Mathieu Perreault in a more prominent role on the team's second line. After his 39 points in 70 games last season, Mathieu has been a big disappointment, but the Ducks are giving up far too many scoring chances for their own good. Keep an eye out during warmups and use late swap to your advantage with this punt as both Mathieu Perreault and Jack Roslovic check in at $2,700 on DraftKings and $3,400/$3,400 on FanDuel, respectively. Roslovic himself has two goals in his last three contests and would be the preferred option if he is good to go.

Overlooked Jet opens up roster construction

Mathieu Perreault doesn't see much ice time like he used to, but the Jets draw the best matchup of the night. Perreault is more of an option on DraftKings ($2,700) given the dirt-cheap price tag and tighter pricing than on FanDuel ($3,400) where pricing is softer. Perreault has picked up an assist in three straight games, and he still sees time on the team's second power play unit. Punting with Perreault really opens up some salary to grab some of the Jets' superstars or grab a strong defenseman.

On FanDuel, Pontus Aberg is still $3,700 and a better option than Perreault given the four skaters per team limit and overall salary structure. Aberg has been rock solid over his last three games. Andrei Svechnikov is another source of salary relief at wing.

Two Punt Options At The ACC

The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Winnipeg Jets both play at a very fast pace, which should lead to plenty of scoring chances and with the way these two teams score, we could very well see another shootout at the Air Canada Centre this evening. Both Connor Brown and Mathieu Perreault skate on their teams third line and second power play unit, and they are an inexpensive way to get exposure to this high event game.

Ice time on the rise for Winnipeg winger

Mathieu Perreault has put together another fantastic campaign as the winger is now up to 27 points (14 goals, 13 assists) in 35 games despite logging just under 14 minutes per game. Yesterday in Calgary, Perreault logged a season-high 22 minutes as he scored for the second consecutive game. In January, Perreault has now potted four goals in seven games, and he should like his chances here against the poor-traveling Vancouver Canucks. Perreault is a shocking $4,300 on FanDuel where he makes for an excellent play in all formats. On DraftKings, at $5,600, he is still a nice option, but more of a tournament play given the price tag. Last time these two teams met, Perreault pounded the Canucks for two goals and an assist as Winnipeg walloped them 5-1 in Vancouver. Another big game could be in the works for Perreault again tonight. Take advantage.

Injury forces Jets' winger back to top line

Mathieu Perreault will have the pleasure of skating on the top line with Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler tonight as Kyle Connor has been ruled out due to a lower-body injury. Perreault's ice time has not been there, but he should see a decent chunk of minutes tonight with Connor out, not only at even-strength, but also with the man-advantage. The Jets will take on an Ottawa team which has been having massive issues defensively recently, and tonight should be no different as the Jets are full of confidence after pounding the Vegas Golden Knights for seven goals last time out. Perreault has 11 points (6 goals, 5 assists) in 14 games this season and had a lot of success last season with Scheifele and Wheeler. The salary saving options at wing tonight are generally uninspiring, so Perreault easily stands out as the best value of the night at this position.
