Matt Barnes Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Andre Iguodala (knee) and Zaza Pachulia (heel) remain questionable for Saturday

Both players practiced Thursday and they'll get another day to rehab tomorrow ahead of Game 3 on Saturday. If Iguodala is ruled out again, Patrick McCaw would be the biggest beneficiary. He was one of the first guys to enter the game off the bench in the first quarter of Game 2 and he finished with 27 minutes. He turned them into 35.75 DK points, although he did most of his damage in garbage time (which happened early) - he piled up 12 points, three assists, and two steals after the Spurs began pulling their starters. Either way, he'll be an interesting value option if Iggy remains out on Saturday as he should pick up a decent workload for his price, regardless of game flow. Matt Barnes would also pick up some extra minutes and he actually started the second half on Tuesday with Pachulia out. Pachulia's absence should provide JaVale McGee a bigger workload as well. It seems like Pachulia should be able to play though. If he does, he'll be a potential tournament option as he's averaged 0.97 DK ppm this postseason with an 18.4% usage rate, increases of 0.02 and 3.0% over his regular season production. He's available for just $3,000 on the Friday-Saturday slate.

Kevin Durant will be "a full go" Tuesday; Matt Barnes (ankle) upgraded to probably

Durant only played in two games of Golden State's first-round series with the Portland and was limited to 20 minutes in Game 4, but his calf is fully healed and he's ready to roll against the winner of the Clippers-Jazz series. His presence will have a negative impact on Stephen Curry's fantasy value; Curry scored 34 and 37 in the final two games with Durant out or limited. Matt Barnes will be behind Andre Iguodala off the bench and will probably have a small role going forward. Shaun Livingston (hand) remains questionable.

Kevin Durant (calf), Matt Barnes (ankle), and Shaun Livingston (finger) remain game-time decisions Monday

Golden State doesn't have much reason to rush them back now that they're up 3-0, so they could potentially rest even if they're healthy enough to play. If they do suit up, it's possible they're limited. If Durant is out again, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson would take the biggest upgrades, as their usage and per-minute fantasy production rates spike when he's off the floor. Thompson is a particularly good deal on DraftKings in that scenario as he's just $6,500 on the site and his per-36 pace came out to 39.98 DK points this season without KD. Thompson is averaging 35.6 minutes per game in this series and he earned 41 minutes in a close Game 3. He ended up with 33.5 DK points, but his stat line could've been a lot bigger had he not struggled with a 38.1% field goal percentage from the field.

Matt Barnes (ankle) and Shaun Livingston (hand) both ruled out Saturday

They were both questionable heading into the weekend but they've been ruled out. With Kevin Durant also out, Andre Iguodala should pick up plenty of minutes off the bench tonight.

Matt Barnes and Shaun Livingston miss shootaround; both questionable for Warriors tonight

With Kevin Durant also questionable and the status of these two also uncertain we could be looking at Patrick McCaw starting for Golden State tonight against Portland. He'd be a viable value option along with Andre Iguodala and Ian Clark who would both see extended playing time. We'll update you on the status of these two (and Durant) later today when more news comes in.

Kevin Durant (calf), Shaun Livingston (finger, hand), and Matt Barnes (ankle, foot) all questionable for Wednesday

Durant was cramping up in Game 1 and he's been downgraded to questionable ahead of Game 2 along with Livingston, who's dealing with a finger sprain and hand contusion. Barnes has missed the last three games with a sprain, but he's considered questionable for tomorrow's matchup with Portland. Durant missed practice earlier today, which could be an indication that the Warriors will play it safe with their star. Hopefully, we'll get an update tomorrow morning on his status. If he's ultimately ruled out, Curry would be a great option. He enjoys a 4.0% bump in usage with Durant off the floor and an extra 0.13 FD ppm, bringing his average pace to 1.38 FD ppm.

Matt Barnes (ankle) ruled out for Sunday

Barnes missed the final two games of the season as he rehabs his ankle issue, he won't be available to play tomorrow when the Warriors host the Trail Blazers. His absence won't have too much of an impact on the Warriors' fantasy outlook now the Kevin Durant is fully healthy. In the 2016 playoffs the Warriors routinely gave sixth-man, Andre Iguodala, 30+ minutes off the bench after averaging 26.6 during the regular season (he averaged 26.3 this year). They should follow a similar pattern with Iggy in the 2017 postseason, and Barnes' absence will help ensure that. As a result, Iguodala will be a nice value option. He enjoyed playing Portland this season, averaging 0.82 FD ppm, which represents a 7.9% boost above his normal rate.

Kevin Durant will return on Saturday for Warriors barring a setback

Durant is set to return just in time to warm up for a anticipated long post-season run. He will go through a full practice tomorrow and barring any setback will return to action on Saturday. Matt Barnes and Patrick McCaw will return to fantasy wasteland with Durant back in the lineup.

Andre Iguodala (hip) should be available for the Warriors tonight

Andre Iguodala missed Tuesday's game due to a hip issue but is no longer on the injury report for the Warriors. There has not been an official update from the team but it would seem they would list Iguodala questionable if he had any issues. It seems as if it was a minor injury and he should be able to suit up for tonight's game. The Warriors are large favorites and Iguodala could be limited in his return. Matt Barnes and Patrick McCaw will be directly affected but were not high-upside plays to begin with.

Andre Iguodala OUT for Golden State tonight

The veteran forward will miss the Warriors game against Dallas tonight with what is listed as a hip strain. It could just be a nagging injury giving reason to rest Iggy on the second half of a back-to-back but we'll continue to monitor his status in the coming days. Patrick McCaw and Matt Barnes will both benefit with this news but both are risky DFS options probably best avoided.
