Matt LaCosse has been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. LaCosse is expected to serve as tight end depth and play on special teams and is not expected to be DFS relevant.

LaCosse, Harris and Olszewski are all questionable for Sunday for the Patriots. None will have a significant fantasy impact even if healthy.

LaCosse has not been much of a fantasy factor as the Patriots haven't used their tight ends in the passing game the same way they did with guys like Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski. Izzo and Watson could see more snaps on Sunday night with LaCosse out.

Izzo and LaCosse are both ruled out Sunday, leaving Benjamin Watson as the clear number one receiving option for the Patriots. Watson made his debut last week, catching 3 of 5 targets for 18 yards.

The Patriots will be without 4 of their offensive skill players Monday. Ben Watson should take over the top TE spot, Jakobi Meyers will be the WR3, while Brandon Bolden will be RB3.

Patriots WR Josh Gordon and TEs Ryan Izzo and Matt LaCosse are Out for Monday Night’s Game Against the Jets

The Patriots are going to be extremely shorthanded on offense in New York on Monday Night Football without Gordon and their top two tight ends. Look for the Patriots to call up someone like Ben Watson to play tight end. Julian Edelman, Phillip Dorsett, and Rex Burkhead are also questionable but expected to suit up.

Edelman becomes an elite cash game option on full slates, while Phillip Dorsett is viable as well. Versatile pass catching backs Burkhead and James White could see a lot more playing time since the Patriots are unlikely to play very much 12 personnel. Jakobi Meyers, in addition to the aforementioned skill players, are all viable tournament options for Showdown contests and should see increased opportunities due to these injuries.
