Maurice Harris Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Vernon Davis (concussion) and Maurice Harris (concussion) ruled out for Saturday

Davis didn't appear on the Washington Redskins' injury report all week, but he's officially been ruled out of Saturday's matchup against the Tennessee Titans due to a concussion, while Harris will also be inactive because of a concussion. Harris has been mostly irrelevant in the Washington offense in recent weeks, totaling just four targets in the last three games. However, with both Davis and Jordan Reed unavailable, Jeremy Sprinkle will work as the featured tight end and may be worth a shot in daily fantasy formats on an abbreviated two-game slate.

WR Jamison Crowder ruled out for Sunday while WR Paul Richardson is doubtful; RBs Chris Thompson and Adrian Peterson listed as questionable

Maurice Harris filled in for Crowder in Week 6 and should be in line for an expanded role once again with Richardson now likely to miss Sunday's game against the Cowboys as well. Harris is the bare minimum across sites and certainly warrants consideration. Peterson is expected to play while Thompson seems to have a good chance of returning in Week 7 after practicing all week. Despite returning from injury, he could once again be heavily relied on in the passing game with the absences of Crowder and Richardson.

WRs Paul Richardson and Jamison Crowder not practicing again Thursday

Crowder is looking closer to doubtful for Week 7, while Richardson was labeled as "iffy" by Head Coach Jay Gruden. Maurice Harris filled in for Crowder in Week 6 and should be in line for an expanded role once again with at least one of the Redskins wideouts looking likely to miss Sunday's game against the Cowboys. Harris is the bare minimum across sites so he certainly warrants consideration.

Schefter Saturday Night Hammers: Chris Thompson, Jamison Crowder both expected to sit; Dalvin Cook expected to be limited to roughly half the offensive snaps

Chris Thompson and Jamison Crowder are both expected to sit Sunday against the Panthers. With Thompson out, Kapri Bibbs should pick up passing down duties and with Adrian Peterson banged up, it's possible he ends up earning a healthy share of the rushing work, especially if the Redskins are playing from behind. Crowder did not practice at all this week, and Josh Doctson/Paul Richardson are both banged up heading into Sunday. Maurice Harris could be in store for a fairly large role in the offense, setting him up to have some very solid PPR value especially considering his $3K salary on DraftKings. Harris can operate out of the slot and his ceiling would rise if any of the other Washington pass-catchers are ruled out on Sunday. Jordan Reed is a strong TE target across the industry while Bibbs also sets up as one of the premier value plays at RB on DraftKings.

Dalvin Cook is expected to be limited to roughly half the snaps, so he's going to be really tough to touch for DFS purposes. Latavius Murray, Roc Thomas and CJ Ham are candidates to see increased work, but none of them are recommended value targets at this point.

Paul Richardson officially questionable for Sunday; Maurice Harris also questionable

Paul Richardson and Maurice Harris are officially questionable for Sunday. Richardson, Doctson and Crowder all split work relatively evenly in Week 1, but if Richardson is out we could see Doctson more involved in terms of targets after he led the group in snaps this past week. Jamison Crowder is still the best bet for production among this group, but Jordan Reed remains the highest upside option in this aerial attack. We'll have an update on Richardson as things get closer to Sunday.
